He is letting them get away with it because he thinks it's the government when it isn't. This is bought and paid for at the senior command level, that's who need calling out for it.
I was an RAF recruiting NCO back in 1991/94. We treated everyone equal, men, woman, black and white. The score in the aptitude test, medical, interview was the most important thing. Thank god I’m a veteran now.
Tim you're an absolute legend. Well done for just saying it as it is. We're British, we're fair and we just want the best people doing jobs that demand the best people!

Sickens me that Chief of the Air Staff, Sir Mike Wigston is getting away with breaking the law. An act that seriously affected some peoples lives and he gets away with it.

Let's face it.....we're all running scared now for fear of being accused of being racist. Dear God.....what on earth have we done. Thanks Tim for all your efforts in sto[ppng this National destruction. I'm an Old Brit and when recruiting we need the Best Person for the Job. Sadly this phenomina applies to Public Services and Industry too and should be corrected immediately. Otherwis, along with other shameful decisions, it will contribute to the degradation of our beloved country..

I can’t help the suspicion that the reason the RAF has a higher proportion of females than the other services is that a very small proportion of people are actually at risk of physical harm compared to those in the other services. Just a thought.
It's not just a thought, it's the reality. There's a reason the Air Force is jokingly referred to as the Chair Force, and it's an environment that encourages all walks of life to enlist. I served in the RAAF for the better part of a decade and the majority of admin roles were performed by females. If you speak to female service members they're not really interested in all the work required to become a pilot, nor do they want to get their hands dirty fixing the jets, and that's perfectly fine. The admin roles pay well, offer comfortable working conditions, and if they decide to start a family they are more easily accommodated. Again, you're 100% right in your observation, but it's staggering how many people don't have a clear and logical mind like you. Thanks for being an intelligent soul :)

I sincerely hope that Ben Wallace gets a grip of this situation, and has a few people into his office for an interview without coffee, so that this situation can start to be turned around and put back to how it should be.
I believe it was Ben Wallace who was pushing this EDI agenda. He was looking for his next job as Secretary General at NATO. It seems that Biden black-balled him.
The saying used to be "Young man, come and see me in my office please, and bring your hat!" - you know at that point where you stood and what was about to happen - you were about to be appraised of you inadequate performance and given a one-time opportunity to sort yourself out and get with the programme...
This is why the country is going down hill rapidly. We are employing people for who they are not what they can do. I would be embarrassed if I got a job like that and everyone knew about it
That Group Captain needs to be reinstated. She did nothing wrong, she is the just the kind of person that they need to elevate further for the benefit of the service, she had more balls than the rest of those male brass hats put together!

I'm so glad my RAF service was conducted when we still had standards. I always thought the top brass were the result of the mantra 'Promote him and Post him' to get rid of incompetent leaders . . .
I hope the Group Captain who resigned rather than carry out the illegal order gets a MASSIVE payout from MoD. The leaders in post when this order was issued SHOULD face some form of sanction. Obviously their spine was removed and the cavity filled with cold custard to aid the betrayal of their Service and the personnel in it.

How hard is it to understand? In any job, whether it is FJ, cooking, computers, bricklaying etc, why do people not understand that you take the BEST, no matter, the colour/creed/sex etc ffs

Nothing changes in the mid 80s I applied to RAF did the aptitude test the sergeant came back said 'the most astonishing highest test results he's ever seen' a short while later I said I want to be aircrew. He said ' your father is a lorry driver your mother is a nurse,
Never in a million years will you be aircrew.' The same year I was invited to Mensa.
That's the RAF .

If Wigston et al., has been found to have broken the law, regardless of how he was advised, he must be punished. If I broke employment law because someone told me something was okay, I'd still be punished. I'd like to see an investigation into Wigston's finances and private life; he's been bought or coerced; I cannot believe any serviceman in his right mind would think what he implemented was a good idea...

BZ Tim a couple of scathing articles in the Times today about the RAF & Head of the Army resigning
And to add, there was some level of not necessarily discrimination but a lack of acknowledgement prior to Joanna Lumley fighting for the families of Gurhka soldiers who didn't have the right to live in the UK, but she changed that!
Also to be clear on this matter, Gurhka's laid their very lives on the line of fire for Great Britain so they, above all else deserved their much welcomed company in our arms, where as all the other illegal/migrants have done NOTHING at all, instead they've been given so much more than the Gurhka's deserved of which who have either died, been maimed or severally disabled as a result of their commitment to our safety!
You don't see Gurhka's rioting in our streets, abusing people or destroying our culture, so ask yourselves, who are the real discriminators hmmmm, 🤔🤨😏😊
Let’s not allow the RAF spin doctors to blame the lawyers! Many of us know how this works. Chief of the Air Staff states his desired policy change on diversity with the Air Member for Personnel/Air Secretary and Air Officer Training tasked with making it work. Lawyers are requested to come up with an interpretation of the law that will allow the policy to happen and they advise Positive Action as the way to cloak matters. Unfortunately for CAS and his direct subordinates, there are many honest, moral and decent servicemen and women who say “hang on, this is wrong” - just a pity that they have to lose their job when blowing matters wide open. That and the many aspiring pilots who were denied a fair and open opportunity to demonstrate their potential.
