Thank you Sir Musso my A level History teacher for taking us back to our ldentity as Zim .Our beloved national anthem, "Simudzirai Mureza WeZimbabwe"! It's a song that fills my heart with pride and patriotism every time I hear it. The lyrics are a beautiful expression of our nation's values and aspirations, and the melody is hauntingly beautiful. I love how the anthem celebrates our country's natural beauty, from the mighty Zambezi River to the majestic Matobo Hills. It's a reminder of the incredible wealth and diversity of our land. But what really resonates with me is the anthem's message of unity and hope. The lyrics speak of a nation that is "born of the fire" and "forged in the crucible of struggle". It's a powerful reminder of our country's complex history and the struggles we've faced, but also of our resilience and determination to build a better future. Whenever I hear our national anthem, I feel a surge of pride and gratitude to be Zimbabwean. It's a reminder of who we are, where we come from, and what we aspire to be.
Lyrics Rise, O voices of Rhodesia, God may we Thy bounty share. Give us strength to face all danger, And where challenge is, to dare. Guide us, Lord, to wise decision, Ever of Thy grace aware, Oh, let our hearts beat bravely always For this land within Thy care. Rise, O voices of Rhodesia, Bringing her your proud acclaim, Grandly echoing through the mountains, Rolling o'er the far flung plain. Roaring in the mighty rivers, Joining in one grand refrain, Ascending to the sunlit heavens, Telling of her honoured name.
@@chika7086 The last time l checked the former national Anthem was Nkosi Sikelela iAfrica....the same thus being sung now in South Africa now....this one of Ishe Komborera Zimbabwe missed me, since you rightly put it that it's lack of education kutsho l missed it that way
English should never be used in a national anthem as a national anthem should be sung in the national language representing the identity and native tongue of the nation. The official status of English should be dropped. Ndebele and Shona are the languages of Zimbabwe and therefore suited for its anthem. You are an independent nation
