Hey, I tend to use the VF van Sice synthetic core mallets (121-126) for the slow movements (1,3,5) and the VF van Sice rubber core mallets for the faster ones (2,4,6). For Profound, I'm using slightly softer mallets than Tranquil (123s in Profound, 124s in Tranquil with a 123 in the bass). Crystalline uses harder mallets, still synthetic, and I use all 115s for Fleet (rubber core).
Which mallets did you use for "Profound"? Are they the same as the ones you used for "Tranquil"? Also what mallets did you use for "Crystalline" and "Fleet"? I've been told by many to use these mallets for this piece and want to make sure I get the best ones for the job. Thanks!

Hey - in the last movement I'm using a Vic Firth M114 on the bottom and 3 M116s on the top.
I was listening to this in another tab and had to stop what I was doing to rewind it back to 4:50-4:54.

What mallets are these on gently swelling? I am currently working on it and have been looking for mallets for about the past month.
This may sound strange, dont like the piece at all, but love this player and his performance, lovely sound!
