It was only until this DB did i learn to things that weighed him as victor: his true being was in another dimension (and the fact if he left said dimension, that Universe goes bye bye) and that the Infinite Gauntlet only worked in the Universe it originated in.

Superman could probably destroy most of the marvel universe big villains and heroes (except magic based) yet darkseid can clearly fight evenly with sups if not even outright beat him. I liked how no matter the setting they were in at the time, Thanos would always start off super strong but Darkseid would always eventually demonstrate he had the upper hand in every scenario, and was in fact the one who was in complete control the entire time. -Thanos makes an imposing entrance... Darkseid head butts his first punch -Thanos shows off the Infinity Gauntlet's power in the city.... Darkseid gains his composure, and gradually begins ratcheting up the pressure by using the city itself as a trap Thanos realizes he must escape from -Thanos takes him into space and collapses the sun to create a black hole.... Darkseid walks through it and effortlessly crushes that black hole in his hand -Thanos snaps Darkseid out of existence.... Darkseid replaces them with more emanations of himself instantly The common theme throughout this entire fight was Darkseid demonstrating to Thanos there was nothing he could do that Darkseid didn't have the superior mastery over. I love the way they animated their body languages too. Every shot of Thanos is of him going all out, extreme intensity. As if simply being in the presence of Darkseid is a challenge in and of itself. Meanwhile, Darkseid couldn't be more nonchalant and relaxed, as though he was simply amusing himself the entire time.

I love watching people react to these things because they get so damn salty, the most salty I think I've seen people is when Deadpool lost against The Mask aka a literal "GOD" and people for whatever reason just don't understand the mask is more than the Jim Carry movie it's very violent and near impossible to defeat.

Just a thing to note going forward...DC has some incredibly overpowered characters, even by comic book standards. While not every DC vs Marvel battle has DC come out on top, it's a lot more common than the reverse.
@@kristenkat9925 When Jack first made the New Gods, the idea was that they existed in Marvel, and that is why they needed Boom Tubes to make to to DC. So, Darkseid knew exactly what the stones did, and didn't care.
The issue with this battle is similar to how characters are created in DC vs Marvel. Marvel tends to create planet level heroes that most people could relate to. DC tends to create universe level characters that are hard to relate to. A prime example is Superman. Constantly holding back his powers is hard for most people to relate to. In Darkseid's case, you have a character that can end existence just by existing in your reality. That is fairly fucked up when you think about it.
I respectfully disagree. To quote grant Morrison, take away the physical obstacles and you leave the emotional, the moral. The most human and relatable of all. Superman has some incredibly touching and emotional stories, all because he's free to focus on his internal struggles and worry about the fallout of his actions instead of if he'll win. And darkseid, even IN the DC multiverse, is the living incarnation of eternal, oppressive evil. Something which can and will never be ended and must be fought until the end of time and seeks to warp and twist you. But even small victories against it are precious. I do understand if you don't like them. Though. It's not for everyone.
In order to destroy a star you have to be able to cancel out it's energy output. That means in order for Thanos to destroy a star Thanos's energy output would have to be equal to or greater than the energy that the star is putting out.

The only way to destroy a star is to shut down its ability to absorb and produce energy. In other words if a star was a sponge you would have to completely drain the sponge of all water (water being energy in this case) to destroy the sponge(star). Hopefully that helps

See, I know Thanos is a cool character, probably has the better story and personality out of the two as well. But when it comes to sheer power, this wasn't even a competition. The only way Thanos would've been able to take on Darkseid in his own universe is if he managed to track down the Infinity Stones of 4th World, and make a new Infinity Gauntlet in that universe to harness them. But given Darkseid's speed, there's no way in hell Thanos would be able to get away from him

It was only until this DB did i learn to things that weighed him as victor: his true being was in another dimension (and the fact if he left said dimension, that Universe goes bye bye) and that the Infinite Gauntlet only worked in the Universe it originated in.

Superman could probably destroy most of the marvel universe big villains and heroes (except magic based) yet darkseid can clearly fight evenly with sups if not even outright beat him. But where superman has a big weakness Darkseid does not his only weakness is pride and arrogance which funnily enough is also Thanos' flaw

I liked how no matter the setting they were in at the time, Thanos would always start off super strong but Darkseid would always eventually demonstrate he had the upper hand in every scenario, and was in fact the one who was in complete control the entire time.
-Thanos makes an imposing entrance... Darkseid head butts his first punch
-Thanos shows off the Infinity Gauntlet's power in the city.... Darkseid gains his composure, and gradually begins ratcheting up the pressure by using the city itself as a trap Thanos realizes he must escape from
-Thanos takes him into space and collapses the sun to create a black hole.... Darkseid walks through it and effortlessly crushes that black hole in his hand
-Thanos snaps Darkseid out of existence.... Darkseid replaces them with more emanations of himself instantly
The common theme throughout this entire fight was Darkseid demonstrating to Thanos there was nothing he could do that Darkseid didn't have the superior mastery over. I love the way they animated their body languages too. Every shot of Thanos is of him going all out, extreme intensity. As if simply being in the presence of Darkseid is a challenge in and of itself. Meanwhile, Darkseid couldn't be more nonchalant and relaxed, as though he was simply amusing himself the entire time.

The issue with this battle is similar to how characters are created in DC vs Marvel.
Marvel tends to create planet level heroes that most people could relate to.
DC tends to create universe level characters that are hard to relate to. A prime example is Superman. Constantly holding back his powers is hard for most people to relate to. In Darkseid's case, you have a character that can end existence just by existing in your reality. That is fairly fucked up when you think about it.
I respectfully disagree. To quote grant Morrison, take away the physical obstacles and you leave the emotional, the moral. The most human and relatable of all. Superman has some incredibly touching and emotional stories, all because he's free to focus on his internal struggles and worry about the fallout of his actions instead of if he'll win.
And darkseid, even IN the DC multiverse, is the living incarnation of eternal, oppressive evil. Something which can and will never be ended and must be fought until the end of time and seeks to warp and twist you. But even small victories against it are precious.
I do understand if you don't like them. Though. It's not for everyone.

In order to destroy a star you have to be able to cancel out it's energy output. That means in order for Thanos to destroy a star Thanos's energy output would have to be equal to or greater than the energy that the star is putting out.

The only way to destroy a star is to shut down its ability to absorb and produce energy. In other words if a star was a sponge you would have to completely drain the sponge of all water (water being energy in this case) to destroy the sponge(star). Hopefully that helps

See, I know Thanos is a cool character, probably has the better story and personality out of the two as well. But when it comes to sheer power, this wasn't even a competition. The only way Thanos would've been able to take on Darkseid in his own universe is if he managed to track down the Infinity Stones of 4th World, and make a new Infinity Gauntlet in that universe to harness them. But given Darkseid's speed, there's no way in hell Thanos would be able to get away from him
Even in that situation, Darkseid still wins since Darkseid basically is the universe in the 4th World and makes the rules of the universe as he feels.

fun fact? there's a subtly-canon (for legal reasons) comic where thanos detects a power even greater than his own (the crisis on infinite earths_ and comes to the dc universe looking for the "ultimate weapon". He finds and steals it's power to destroy both universes. unfortunately, the owner steals the power back and THEN some.
