  • Had this model for several years. I remember when I bought it I was shocked to see it was the old Airfix mould considering the price at the time. I slung it under the bench out of sight in disgust.. I always planned on putting it on Ebay to atleast get some of my money back but I never did.
    Why you may ask ?
Well it's simple...Old Airfix kits are just a pants. A lot of parts just don't fit or they are not moulded properly, raised panel lines and lots of rivets. I avoided them for years. It was a case of shock and horror when they started re releasing some of the old kits last year.. I didn't buy a single one...Oh No !!
I'm glad to say they have really upped their game in the past few years with some truly excellent kits, some of which you can see in my previous videos.
    Anyway enough of this waffle.
Hope you liked the video and don't forget to Subscribe....Mike

The old tool airfix sea king is a difficult kit to build. Very fit of the parts. But you succeeded! 👍😉

So it wasn't just my below average patience and talent as a kid.
The fit of the kits was actually quite bad.😉
    Wonderful build👍

      😄😄 no it wasn't
I prefered Matchbox as a kid, much easier to build 😁
      Thank you 👍

Hi, hope you don't mind me asking this but where can I buy the motors for both rear and main propellers? . I've been asked to build a sea king as it's a personal build as a family member used to fly these I believe. I want to go the extra mile and surprise them with motors but I don't know what I need to buy? If you can't help it's cool I understand. Nice work by the way 👍

      Hi Wayne..
Its not a problem boyo,I'm happy to help...
I get mine from ebay...Either from a seller here in the uk or china...
Here is a link to a seller in the uk...
      www.ebay.co.uk/itm/354174922665?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=vafwyey3tce&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=xt_vaQIvTAa&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
Or you can just go to ebay and search micro motors
The motors I used for the seaking were 4mmx8mm and 6mmx12mm.
If you need any help just send me a message..
P.S. Go for the later new tooled Seaking...Its a much better kit..
Let me know how you get on...👍
      Mike

@@307vrr Hi Mike, have you a shout out by the way. Ok I already have a slight issue? I just tested the motor like you did with a aa battery but absolutely nothing ? Am I doing something wrong lol, I'm also struggling to get the 4x8 as he is always out of stock so might have to look elsewhere if he don't get some in soon, cheers 👍
