When my white South African brothers dance (terribly☺) and sing African songs maaaaan ek is lief vir all of you and I wish we could all learn as much as we could about each other🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌
I really love your language, how it sounds, especially those clicks. And your songs, simple chords and arrangements but sung straight from your hearts and soulful. I love Africa!
We have eleven official languages... The average South African speaks two languages fluently... The majority speak three or more languages fluently... 🇿🇦
Wow, this is awesome. Where I come from, the choir can't sing such a song and I remain seated but I understand the audience. I'm in love with this choir
This choir reminds me of my school days in the former bantustan of Transkei. Choral music was our major source of entertainment and a proud platform for us to keep our minds from the bad old days of apartheid. It was fun to attend the concerts as we knew it then; which was groups of schools that competed in one big gathering hosted by a single school, with judges from different schools. We use to cross-night until the following day end. This is an old IsiZulu song for the info of those who don't understand the language. It literally says: "I will never date en unemployed guy again"... which was a way of encouraging guys to start hustling. It's very interesting to see white kids trying their best because back in the days their parents and grand parents had other ideas about us. They are a new bread of young generation that are not much affected by the past. I enjoyed it though with all the deserving appreciation for their art and pride for their appreciation of black choral music. ❤
they are doing their best to get a job. i trust that you are putting an equal amount of effort into getting a job. before you criticise go and check how many hours they practise. learn from them.
Boys: sebenza mahlalela! 'Work jobless guy' UMahlalela uhleli ekhaya akasebenzi udla umbila akasebenzi 'jobless guy is sitting at home, not working, he is eating maize not working' Ngeke ngiqome umahlalela, uyehh uyangibambezela mna 'I'll never date a jobless guy., he is holding me back. Bodlani abantwana bam? Zodlani iingane zam? (these two lines mean the same thing though different words are used) ' what will my children/kids eat? What will my children eat? '

I almost thought you were a Dutch choir, with the Dutch name, but it is South African😘🙏🏻
Well Stellenbosch does have a rich Dutch history. It was named after Simon van der Stel, the guy who founded it. And "bosch" means wood in Dutch.
