Since the nest tree was not sturdy, best that this happened now. I hope Liberty and Guardian will find a safer site for their new nest. We'll have to wait and see if a cam can be installed, but it's more important that they and their future eggs are safe. Thank you for the capture, SKH--however, that was a sight I do not want to see again!
I can’t look but I see from the comments the Eagles are safe. Nature is so beautiful but can be harsh. I remind myself trust the Eagles! They are resilient!! Sending positive energy to them and all! ❤️ thank you SKH!
Hi, SK❤...I saw this on rewind this morning, on my own, and was shocked! Thank you for posting this - I had a feeling that you might😇! *I wanted to share with you that there is actually a "starter nest" that was installed this summer that is located just below the current cam, on the tree across from the fallen tree! There is a video all about about it at Gary's Eagle Videos channel, as the most recent post. Towards the end of the video, a cam capture of the starter nest is included. L & G weren't interested when they returned this season...but, maybe they will seek it out now. If so...guess what? We'll have a livestreaming cam view of their new nest! We'll see, huh? TTE🦅 Take care, blessings and thank you for all you do and share with us ❤
Well, thank you for posting this update. I suppose there is no better time for the tree to fall than now. The eagles have plenty of time to find a new and better location and rebuild their nest. But I will miss seeing them, for sure.

Thank you so much for sharing about the starter nest. I remember FORE posting about it a while back. Here’s hoping L&G warm to it! 🦅❤️

This is so sad. I hope they find a good tree and make a great nest. Is there still time to build before she lays her eggs???
I will surely miss them as well!!
Yes, plenty of time! She typically lays in February.
Thank goodness this was before any eggs got laid. It really shows how fast it goes, when it goes.
