Angus Scott Yeah, he was the best villain. He also did much impact.
He was always good at playing villains or uptight types (like in Footloose), but after seeing what a great comedy actor he was on 3rd Rock, it is sometimes hard not to see him as that in other roles (and he was marvelously creepy in Dexter). You want to constantly ask, "Why, Dick Solomon? Why are you killing this poor person"?

John Lithgow is just so versatile very talented. He was amazingly convincing and scary on Dexter and yet was adorable and harmless on 3rd Rock from the Sun. What a talent!

One of the best murderers on Dexter! My favorite season by far because of John Lithgow!
He has always played killers, and it isn't because he is so sweet and cute, it is because he has a simpering quality to his face that you kind of want to punch. He always looked a little off, NOT handsome. Sort of like an overgrown Jay North, who played 'Dennis the Menace'. Since Lithgow, (pronounced LITHGO, he'll correct you) isn't good looking, he had to be a character actor, or a villain, and he does have a cruel look to him. I for one, NEVER liked him in '3rd Rock' and can't watch the reruns.

John Lithgow is a great Actor. In "Cliffhanger" & "Ricochet" he plays a super villain. In "Harry and the Hendersons" & "Daddy’s Home 2" does he play a sympathetic father. In "3rd Rock from the Sun" he plays a nice alien.
