    Just wanna say, y'all's has got to be the most real/raw format of content: two married best friends living in and discovering Japan, making _minimally_ edited videos, and really just waking up everyday to (I assume) an often simple life. Y'all are a fucking delight, straight through the bag, son! lol, love y'all; keep the videos coming.

    Hi! I have not read all the comments so I hope no one else said this yet, yes in nature some fish have upward looking eyes, there is usually 2 reasons for it, 1- their prefered food floats on the surface or generally " above ". 2- they ARE the prefered food item themselves trying to avoid predators. Sometimes both reasons are true🙂. Reason # 1 is usually the predominant trait however. The goldfish and coy are a unique case though, because they have been genetically manipulated for aesthetic purposes. Can anyone out there who is more of a officiatnato of coy n goldfish say if it occurs naturally? Just trying to be helpful for those people who are curious! LOL. Have a great day!

    Have been watching you guys forever and do agree that the TH-cam algo seems to have forgotten you, which is sad. Even though your videos are "long", it is so engaging that most often than not it feels short when its done. Maybe try new thumbnails? Those with big words and letters on it? See that a lot on most videos today. Something like your Tokyo by Tuk Tuk. Or maybe hit the 10-15 minute mark and spread the videos to 2 or more instead of a one long one? You guys deserve more views. Like your Mac & Cheese burger are one of the formulaic ones that should be a hit but you can't really tell from the thumbnail. Hope you guys all the best

    • @kydeanderic
      @kydeanderic  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It'S a very difficult thing to juggle. Our best performing videos are long and have low effort thumbnails, hahaha. It's like aiming for a moving target in the dark trying to appease the system, and if we change too much our loyal audience will be turned off. We are kind of stuck, and it's frustrating. -E

    Japan seems more concerned with sun protection -- you don't see sun umbrellas elsewhere in the world as much as in Japan. Maybe park tents are a sun protection thing? Definitely never seen that before.

    I think both of you have been enjoying a real Tokyo life.
    I think that "Katsushika" ward was named after an ancient clan "Katsushika-Shi" who ruled that area long time ago.
    "Toshima" ward and "Adachi" ward were named by same reason.
    I heard that the parrot was saying "Tanaka, anata, anata ha hahahha".

    Geez love the two of you. Not sure if this was mentioned in the hundreds of comments, but at 14:17 where Kyde was sitting on the swivel chair, it is supposed to train your core muscles and is helpful for your intestines and digestive tract overall. I've tried the exercise without aid and is hard. the aftermath sometimes is farting because of the gas bubbles trapped in the gut. So not sure if you remember if farting was involved after.

I forgot, .. this happened the other day, I caught the smell of what felt like Sandalwood, I remembered this little boutique near the college I attended named "Pillar to Post" where they sold incense, glass figurines and in the back room .. walls filled with handmade black light posters. .. I was surprised when you said about a guy fishing for Kio and thought maybe you heard him wrong. Iv never been to Japan but I know they fish for kio to sell or to eat. I liked seeing the gold fish in this video, Decades ago I was shocked to find out how many different kinds there are. God I miss my kio pond now lol. I could never eat one though even though I like eating fish. I think maybe because kio have such nice colours or you just get attached to them if you have them as pets.

    As far as the tents question goes, maybe the tent is for keeping bugs and wind out of your food? A few parks in America I went to pre-2020 had like more of a pop-up top cover for blocking sun and marking “territory” of sorts than a dome-style tent like Japanese-style parks. They have a good idea though.

    • @kydeanderic
      @kydeanderic  3 ปีที่แล้ว

    You can fish for Koi--I was given one to eat at a party. They usually aren't the pretty Koi. The ones they eat are most a dark colour and not particularly prized. I don't remember how it tasted.
    As for the tents, without a lot of tree cover, I guess some people would like a shaded area from time to time.
