Hombre!
Thanks for sharing, almost finished my character and did s lot of research on both Xgen Core and IGS. With this character I decided to go with Core due to my character having long hair and Core has better interpolation and is more stable. IGS unfortunately was never finished, it still doesn’t have clumps per guides, it’s buggy sometimes, it’s slower than Core and doesn’t have a hair percentage option. Selecting thousands of hairs can get a bit tricky with the masking tools but it does work. The clump modifiers also looks better in Core than IGS. Usually what one does well the other doesn’t and vice versa.
Just found your channel, great find. Why have you stopped uploading new tutorials? You won't believe I am making a 3d model of a rabbit and was wondering what to do with body hairs and moments later your channel was in my recommended feed, I didn't even do any search.
Errr, there is 1/2 an episode on the editing table. But COVID hit last year and priorities changed. Sorry about that. I was looking forward to continuing
I saw a method online that had the groom on a seperate copy of the animated model. after the groom was completed the artist used a wrap deformer onto the animated model.
to animate a model with xgen fur , do i need to separate the fur in another layer ?? or should i rigg all from the beggining and add the fur later on ?? does it work at all?? plsz i need help :1
i have this weird problem i can't solve, Xgen doesn't render out in Arnold for me, i see the mesh but as well as the fur and all the grooming in perspective view just fine, can edit everything but it still won't display anything when rendering, besides the mesh itself, was wondering if u have any knowledge of this bug and a way around it, or is it my own fault and im doin' something wrong?
Hmmmm if memory serves me well there might be a setting for your groom in render. Your hair in arnold might be too short to appear in the render. It's been a while, so sorry I'm not too much help.
Hey there! I was wondering.... if I use interactive groom splines to create a fur description for a character, and i update the UVs on the character mesh, it doesn't seem to update them on the fur description. Is there a way to update UV placement on the fur description without having to create a new one?
More Maya Labs videos will be coming in early 2020. I don't have a current release date, but you can use notifications to be notified when the next episode is ready. Hopefully it won't be too long.
Bro, this is one of the best xgen lessons on TH-cam. Thank you for this. I hate xgen! it's to buggy and unreliable most of the time, but when it works, it produces some really good-looking hair. I was wondering! Do you know if xgen hair will show up in unreal engine 5 once the hair is converted into hair cards? That's the real reason why I'm doing the hair in xgen so that I can export it into unreal engine 5. Any suggestion on that method? Thanks for the video.
Sir g Reply plz I'm waiting #1.Can Animbot create rig controls Like Blender rigify And #2. Animbot create character skeleton with aromatic weight Like Blender human meta #If not I first create manually bone skeleton Rig controls driver

Can you please do a follow-up on how to attach the hair groom system back onto the character rig?
I saw a method online that had the groom on a seperate copy of the animated model. after the groom was completed the artist used a wrap deformer onto the animated model.
How can I make the fur have a different color on certain areas?
Texture image in the colour

Is there a way to apply the groom to another object if you import it?

Hello, what are the differences in using interactive grooming and description?
Hey there! I was wondering.... if I use interactive groom splines to create a fur description for a character, and i update the UVs on the character mesh, it doesn't seem to update them on the fur description. Is there a way to update UV placement on the fur description without having to create a new one?
how did you give color to the hair?like rose inside ears?
Mesh has to have UV's and add a texture. Xgen should inherit the colour from the texture on the mesh based on the UV coordinates.
Sir if i want to move my xgen hair with skeleton what i do
What is the difference between this method (interactive groom) and the "create description" method of grooming?
You can use the XGen description to make many more things besides hair. While the interactive tools focus on a subset of tools only for creating hair.
Where are second part?
Please release part 2
