As a San Diego native i can say those are pretty close. For not having any mexican stores or anything around thats pretty damn good. Ppl gotta remember here in San Diego and LA were right next to Mexico. Even our walmarts have mexican stuff in them its different. So givin that those tacos dont look too far off
@@edwardharo6421 well that’s because it’s Missouri and probably not a metro area. I don’t see how not tho because even in Indiana every Walmart has an “international food”isle even the small towns far away from big cities with small Hispanic populations
born and raised in LA and my parents r mexican....we do tacos at home by hand and lemme tell ya, those tacos looked mighty fine....Very glad mexican goodness is crossing sea's for more people to enjoy

These look pretty authentic tbh. Tacos usually just come with cilantro and onion and the sauces, sometimes guacamole. They’re just missing the radishes and cucumbers ! I would say having rice and beans as a side you can order would be good but it’s kinda random for us to eat them with tacos :p

From LA here and Mexicana/American! Birria is usually goat meat, but a lot of restaurants use beef. Those tacos look delish! Thank you for your suggestion! I’ll make sure I try them soon!
I would definitely head back and try the tacos de tripitas. I think you will be pleasantly surprised and they just might be your favorite of the bunch. Please make a second trip for us all
Can’t go wrong as long as you have the right ingredients..not hard to cook or learn..Mexican tacos are simple foods..been to restaurants to so many house gatherings..some might have their own recipes, styles or cooking techniques, but never disappoints
Great video Ben, I live in California and they need to have sauce for that Beretta tacos tho. In joy your tacos and street tacos they don't have. Cheese is mostly onions and cilantro, but with the barrera tacos they do have cheese in it only differents, now I want tacos. 😋

Ben, if you’re ever back in LA I highly recommend Ave 26 Tacos ( 353 S Alameda Street ). Best Tacos in LA in my opinion. Always packed as well. It’s our go to after the bar/clubs. Those tacos do look valid!
It’s normal for just a few birria tacos not coming with consommé. You often only get it separate or with a combo meal that includes it and another extra.

Seoul has many legit Mexican restaurants that are as good as places in Cali and Mexico! Barria style in Korea is becoming more popular. Great for solo or group dining as well.
Love your videos! Always a fan ... but a few things that just jabbed at me Birria was pronounced wrong. That amount of money for 7 tacos!!! Actually not bad compared to NYC/CA! The place didn't give you the soup with the birria? That's like chips and guac without avocado!

Birria tacos can be either meat, beef or goat (rarely lamb). It's a %50 %50 some dont like the gimmy taste of goat.

Cheese on street tacos is a sin, except cotija which is near impossible to get outside of Mexico and California, that's why it is not offered.
