Joe Doomsday and a good collectors piece with a legendary name in a Randell Made .😊
I love this knife, Joe! This and my Model 14, are my two Number 1 knifes!
This is epic joe, congratulations my friend. Some guy’s wait a lifetime to have a Randell knife. Couldn’t go to a better person. Outstanding brother what a beautiful piece to add to your collection. Just awesome. So proud for you my friend
Thanx Donavan! I appreciate it. Thanx for watching & commenting. It really is a Quality Knife. 🔪👍🏻
I too picked up a Randall Pilot knife on eBay. Couldn’t wait 6 years.
I have the 5.5 tool steel version, I wrapped fishline around the handle then paracord over that.
The extra cord on the sheath is so if you thread it through the extra holes it becomes jump safe for parachuting.
I also removed the stone and put a leatherman micro in there, fits perfectly.
The only downside I have found with it is that if you need to baton wood the teeth rip the hell out of your hammer stick.
Oh, make sure you treat the leather sheath with wax or similar.
Mmmmm mmmmm mmmmm, gotta get me one of them. Nice brother.
I have that same one . Did a video on all of them today.
Excellent knife there!!! Never seen one before. Novice/amateur knify guy here...
Thanx. It is an excellent knife, I’m really happy to have one. We were all novice/amateur knife guys at one point, just research all the info You can find, for any knife that you are interested in, and in no time, You will know as much as any of us guys who have been doing this for years. 👍🏻

It’s even scary to think how much this newspaper bundle costs. But it's worth every penny, and that fact
Yes it is Expensive and Yes it is worth every penny. 👍🏻👍🏻. Thanx for watching & commenting I appreciate it.
Wow 😮
The sheath alone was probably $150 😳
Ya probably. The sheath & the Knife are both, works of art. Beautiful craftsmanship. 🔪👍🏻. For me,… this was a once in a lifetime purchase.
@@JoeDoomsday oh yea dude. I’m not at a place where I could even think about getting one. Truly a thing of beauty!
I'll stick with the Harbor Freight knife for nostalgia, lol. The very least you could have done is say where you got the survival kit tube. Would appreciate.
Harbor freight. That’s hilarious. These knives are extremely well made. They are silver soldered and epoxy welded to the handle. Razor sharp. Heavy duty. As far as 440a steel, Randall has been making these since Vietnam war era. They have perfected the heat treatment. I’d rather have a “cheaper” steel prepared properly than a supposed super steel that was cranked out in mass production at a dump factory by unhappy, under paid employees, any day. This knife can keep important items dry inside the handle. It can become a spear head. These knives were loved by soldiers. I agree that most full-tang knives are the way to go but,… I’d feel just fine if I had this as my only knife. I’d just use it wisely. Watch my other hollow handle knife videos. You will see which hollow handle survival knife that, That survival tube came from.
@@JoeDoomsday Agreed. Knives aren't for prying in the first place.
Hi Joe, could you please tell me the diameter of the handle? Thank you
Hello. It measures exactly 1 inch in diameter.
Thank you

Buen fierro buena calidad
@@armandogonzalez1936 440B stainless, they have the same model with o-1 tool steel for less.
Hardly a practical trade-off to have a hollow handle and a significantly weaker knife. There's nothing you can put in the handle that can't be better put elsewhere, and lack of a tang seriously compromises reliability. Bit too fantasy "Rambo" for me. Especially given the outmoded steels (440A), it's hard to justify a Randall except as a collector item and wall-hanger.
It is only "weak" if it is cheap. The problem is that people are measuring these against shoddty cheap hollow handled copies. The other thing is that people that never used knives have this romantic notion of tanks driving over knives and troops using them to dig through solid concrete walls and are also fuelled by hockey masked retards abusing knives in their backyard.
A lot of people think that "full tang" is the only way to go, completely oblivious to the fact that if a full tang knife is not designed and built and heat treated correctly it can break with one missplaced strike. Buy a good knife and it really does not matter what type of tang it has.
Same thoughts, you pay so much for medicore materials
Use your beautiful Randall bro!
You are suppose to use it before the world ends.
Because, you won't be using it when the world ends! You get it?
You won't be using anything then. Lol!
I don’t want to dull it and weaken it before I need it. Just like storing survival food,… I don’t want to eat it before I need it. Plus this knife is so expensive. If I could afford 2 or 3 of them,… then I definitely would use one of them now. 😝
