My first symptoms were mucus plug (clear, very thin like watery egg whites and lots of it throughout the day) then labor started a day later, mild regular cramping at first, got more and more painful with time, the pain became unbearable to the point where I had extreme nausea, puked whatever I ate that day, puked bile after that then dry heaves until the doctor finally had mercy and gave me anti nausea medicine, then I had cold sweats, sharp localized rectal pain like the baby was pressing on a nerve, uncontrollable body trembling, it truly felt like my insides were put inside of a blender... My baby had never dropped so I didn't have any pelvic pressure. My labor stalled at 10cm for hours, all night. No progress and they couldn't use a vacuum because she was up too high. Her heart rate fluctuated to opposite extremes so they did an emergency cesarean section which was soo much easier than dealing with labor. The doctors didn't know why she wouldn't come down but my experience had a great outcome. The cesarian was so nice I had two more planned ones.
38w+4 symptoms: Braxton Hicks for an hour every 15 mins, next day diarrhea (no flu symptoms), chocolate cravings (period like symptoms), mood swings, random bouts of crying, emotional rollercoaster of hormones. Lol My second daughter will be arriving in 2-5 days I feel it.
My water breaking was NOT subtle! It was horrible, and a gallon of water would gush out Everytime I would stand from a sitting position from the time it first broke in bed, until the time I got to my hospital room. I was crying in the hospital bathroom because it was pouring out and people in the waiting room were staring. I was trying to soak up all the water from the floor and it was like a flood. I am sooo glad that only happened in 1 of my 4 labors.
Thank you. I gave birth last Feb 5, 2022. My newborn is already 7 days. I cannot express my happiness and joy as my little one gradually change me. God has bestowed a very precious blessing. 🙏🙏🙏

The length of time between losing your mucus plug and going into labor can vary. You may go into labor within hours or days, while other times, you may not go into labor for a few weeks
