- Should you play The Incredible Adventures of VAN HELSING: Final Cut in 2023? Yes, it's definitely worth playing despite its shortcomings. However, it's not worth buying for full price. And here's why.

that game is among my most favorite games of all time. its only shortfall is that there are obvious bugs and whatnot, and the adventure mode is kind of lackluster. thats literally the only reasons its not a 10/10. id rank it as a 9.5 out of 10.
whats noteworthy, for me, is that the game actually saves your location, and you control if the enemies respawn. that makes van helsing automatically above grim dawn and diablo 3, neither of which has, well, either of these (in my opinion) mandatory quality of life and difficulty adjustments.
also, it was the only ARPG game that incorperated actual strategy. i really loved the whole army management system, it was a great aspect to the game.
oh and if you wanted three different games, with three different stories and character building.... well, its kinda included by default.
i paid full price for this and i never once regretted it.
True, it's definitely better in terms of customizing the gameplay and I appreciate how easy it is to respec at any moment. What I meant about "separate games" is having slightly improved graphics and new approaches to character building (like in Dark Souls 2 compared to DS1, for example).
This doesn't come close to Grim Dawn, it falls WAY short of GD which is easily the best ARPG of the last 15 years.
@@Grandmastergav86 wrong. grim dawn basicaly has no storyline, and basically no plot. it also doesnt have voice acting, and the presentation of whatever story there is, is absolutely terrible. games exist to tell a story, and grim dawn failed at that, just to focus on things that dont matter. maybe think about why i praise van helsing so much.
For 4.5 USD, the current sale for all 3 games... it's a steal!
Indeed!
The entire collection is at $1.25 (-95%) now. Came here to see if I should buy it or not... Not the type of game I play usually but ehhh 95% is kinda uhh
True, for that kind of discount it is def worth trying at least 😎
That’s why I’m here. lol. Great timing.
Yup, got this on sale & immediately noticed some of the outmoded jank that it brought to the table. Some of it charming, some interesting, some of it didn't work.
7/10, would recommend it when on sale
Indeed! My only wish is that the devs either re-launch the online servers and start doing seasonal content or completely scrap everything that was supposed to be online to make it an offline experience.
you did a good job convincing me to buy this game, if i can get it for cheap as 45usd is insane.
True! But the discounts are frequent on it so it's worth keeping in your wishlist 😎
@@CtrlAlexDel Yeah ive added it on steam, so now its time to play the waiting game (and play cyberpunk 2077 again)
I'm preparing the review for Undecember - the arpg that is similar in a way but it's Korean 😂
The whole anthology of this game is right now 3,50€ on Steam
@@junton Be aware, the anthology edition doesn't include the final cut, you can currently get that separately for under 5 dollars right now though.
i just bought it!!!!!!!!!!! thanks foe=r the vid you got my sub.
Definitely my favorite arpg. Quirky but memorable story and characters, best companion and my favorite steampunk aesthetic.
I had Van helsing 1,2,3 for years never played it.About to start from the first one and hopefully i make it to 3
Have fun! As far as I know you can redeem the Final Cut for free if you have all three parts on your Steam. At least, that's how it was previously.
@alexbalexb I can confirm that you can still redeem, as I just done it. For anyone interested, Google Neocore Games Redeem and click on the first link.
if you have them all and you dont have the final cut, you can redeem it for free
@bustinjieber9600 I'm looking on ps5 right now and don't see a final cut, ain't thats all 3 in 1 package I might not see it because I already have all 3
@@jayripp84 my bad, i thought you had it on pc. final cut is basically just what you said it is 3 in 1 the best thing about is you can use your character in VH1 to VH3 storyline
Great review.Everything i need to know.
Thanks. It's a shame there isn't one larger over-arching story.
Played Diablo 2 for almost 24 years. As a (also champion) Diablo 2 fan, this is the only arpg i still love (start with bounty hunter).
Have you tried Last Epoch? It's got a lot from D2 while being modern.
@@CtrlAlexDel i didint play it but i did some research about it. i will try it next week. Thanks!
Cool! I've made 2 vids about it with my first impressions and after 70+ hours, as well :)
Also try Grim Dawn. Last Epoch is good but Grim Dawn is a notch above it, I'd say.
Try fearless difficulty if to easy or try inhuman. I kill kast boss at level 95 with my constructor and now going to kill 2nd big boss (inguman 1) with my mage.
Is it not possible to play in multiplayer?
as far as I know, the official online servers are no more
however, there're custom games, where you can join co-op sessions with other people, though I'm not really sure
Here because the three games have 90% discount. I bought it before the video finished 😂
Does it have a WASD support or move with mouse?
how about gamepad control ?
Steam page says "full controller support" yet I haven't checked it myself.
What game should we play next?
I just bought like the whole shebang plus DLCs for $4.
Steam sale? Lol. I saw it too. But that whole $4 package doesnt include this "Final Cut".
@@T.N.24 oh derp.
The final cut should also be on sale rn 🤔
apparently you can get the final cut free if you buy the first 3 before.
@@LS-zt8ih Yup that's what I did. I found out thru a comment on steam. Sweet deal.
IMO, no. I gave it a go, but it's really outdated mechanics wise.
It def is and that's what makes me sad, the devs could've updated the game and removed a lot of outdated stuff to make the game better, but oh well.
everythihng for this game is 4$ on steam all the games for it
2.06$ cost me in steam :3
dont play the final cut play the original van helsing game instead.
What's the difference of Van Helsing Final Cut and Van Helsing Original?
I just Bought it 2€
Congrats! Enjoy!
