My theory is that if you do this captioning stuff, you need to have both pride at what you do and be able to make it fun and interesting for yourself, or you'd go crazy. I imagine Tom Scott's various productions aren't even that bad, but imagine all the random videos these people end up subtitling over the course of a day or even a week and how many of them are absolutely of zero interest yet something they have to suffer through...
