I work as a mechanic at a SYM dealer in South Africa. Let me tell you, if SYM actually made a v twin like this for their bigger scooters like the Jet 14, they would be a big hit! well done this is so cool!
Quel motore si romperà dopo qualche chilometri perché egli non ha restaurato il sistema di raffreddamento ad aria soffiata e ancor meno l'ha duplicato per il secondo cilindro.
That beast sounds insane for a little scooter. Awesome job and top-notch fabrication. I greatly admire your skills. Finally, one of these low-cost custom build channels that actually cares about the quality of the end product. Very well done.
@28:00 It is a good practice to align the pin of the vristpin circlip vertical to the cylinder bore because it can get fatigued by the reciprocation and break off. I also like to cut the pin shorter to have less mass wanting it to flex. It does not happen often so I am sure you won't be having any problems this time either. Really nice build, again, big thumbs up! Be interesting to see what you come up with next. :-)
I do not cease to admire your ability to convert a single-cylinder engine into a two-cylinder engine using parts from the landfill. L twin is a specific 90° vtwin tho. V twin could be anywere from 45° or something right. To make the title more shorter than i turn scooter engine to v twin of 90° 😂
