Probably too late but just in case, avoid adding Arceus to your game until you get every other form change item. Arceus unlocks all the plates in the auction meaning you'd be stuck with rng for 18 different plates along with the other items.

Btw, you don't need the pokémon in your party. Just having them in your box will suffice.

The thing is having a party with you get priority. So you can have it in your box, but if you have more photos that need a different item, having them in your party would give them priority to get them

There's only 2 form items that aren't available in scarlet and violet and that's the blue and red orb for Groudon and kyogre to change them into their primal forms.
