I usually play hard mode so that future runs will be easier. I'm quite good at knowing how games work and usually master the mechanics early on, so it's quite fun when I actually have to put my early knowledge to the test against enemies that would've been easier if I chose an easier difficulty.

Well done, I'd love to see you guys fare against DEMO 2 hardmode sometime in the future. Considering the no superguarding property of the card has been removed it would be awesome if you equipped the "Gusto" card, which you can find in the east corner of bizville, there is a singular guy which sells it for 1 TIX. If the game turns out to be impossible to complete you can remove the Gusto card, but If you manage to complete it without doing so you would be goats

I recently beat the entire demo on Hard Mode by myself, and trust me, it wasn’t easy.
But Lucky Start was a lifesaver when it came to the Cruel King, which took me some attempts.
Edit: I AM NOT DOING CHAPTER 2 ON HARD MODE SOLO! ITS IMPOSSIBLE!
Same but I killed the king in 1 try and nearly every other boss in more than 1 attempts

when i solod hard mode i didnt struggle with any of the bosses, they were all pretty easy to me BUT those damn porcupines

Honestly having 3 friends who want to finish hard mode is very insane, I have beaten up to noobador now. Still beating pit too is insane and hope you enjoyed the exp you got. However DvN next video, already hyped.

As someone who has recently played the Paper Mario TTYD Remake, this was certainly a fun experience to play with a friend and I can't wait to for to come
after watching the video this might be the greatest thing ever made

Keep up the good work, DVN aka Dummies vs Noobs is one of my most favorite game it is so difficult and I am so glad you are covering it 😅 Btw the one and only unit that is shown in the short clip of DVN is a Apu which has a flamethrower. He is medic, likely dynamic difficultly, wave 8 out of 10, and is on the map mansion I believe correct me if any of the information is wrong 😅 He also might be raging about why the game is so difficult. Yeah I am over analyzing.
I really thought hard mode by myself was really easy. What i did is i got the safe guard card. Defending on itself halfs all damage by half and safe guard does allow you take even less damage. Allowing you to actually take no damage during fights. Blocking is SO important when doing hardmode. Glad to see someone was able to do this challenge.

I managed to solo those 4 statues with lv 1 stats on normal (no cards 5 SP 10 HP) but always thought it was impossible to do it on hardcore till now :o

Chapter 2 will be literal HELL for you guys on hard mode. Enemies deal decent damage to begin with, plus the fact that ice dagger and pie got very noticeable changes.

I think no counters is a really bad idea, it punishes the player for being skilled at the game, and it makes fights way more dumb because of it, you just have to tank anything, not to mention statues.

It was really easy to cheese for me because I had my friend without hard mode, while I played with hard mode. The only boss I died on was the cruel king.

Man 4 players must be really easy in hard mode I did it with only 1 friend so it was a duo when I was doing hard mode and when I was going to do the pit I realised that there was 4 sentient statues which is impossible to do duo so I brought another friend while doing the pit but then at floor 20 the first friend who helped me do defeat cruel king in hard mode lagged out so it was 2v4 an out numbered fight with the strongest enemies still we managed to do floor 20 duo.
My guess for “Barley Survived” is if you take mortal damage but you have defence
wrong, barely survived is when the attack perfectly matched your hp

best choices to speed run in hardmode is bomb and item+ card
if ur soloing floor 19 you have to learn when you have to guard and defend
you attack with dynamite, defend, use ice dagger, smth like that
You need sword power for ice dagger
Have you heard of the secret card shop? It makes your life harder to but you get 20% more xp and theres 3 of those cards so you can go from regular amount of xp gained to 110% more xp
Oh yeah and you take 4x dmg

Hardmode was hell during the Cave part. Stupid Smugupines... I completely solo'd my FULL HARDMODE run. Trust me it was not easy without Brownie, its a 2Time use item that can heal
