    Anyone saying “ol it’s all steroids”. Don’t no shit about lifting. How to build proper muscle size. Buff was an athlete. Played football and Box’d amateur. Gotta remember he was rubbing shoulders. With the likes of Lex Luger and Scott Steiner. These men where collegiate athletes. That knew their ways around a weight room.

      Exactly. Steroids definitely play a part, but if you don't nail everything else i.e. nutrition, recovery, training, and genetics, you can blast all the gear in the world and still look shite.

      It's not all Steroids, there are GH and Insulin too.

    Doing full body three days a week.
    Set a front squat PR this week, and just last week I set a PR in one arm dumbbell row. Turning 41 next year. Always do reverse pyramid.

    Buff is absolutely correct.
    Mike O'Hearn pretty much does the same - light, basic warm up, "save it" he says, then hits it heavy and hard everytime.
    Form matters little when you want to get size and strength.

    Buff Bagwell: It was called "anabolic steroids."

    • @derekvietro784
      @derekvietro784 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      It takes more than just steroids to look good. It still takes hours in a gym to work with it. Bagwell took steroids and so did Rey mysterio Jr. That just shows you you need to go to a gym and still work hard to look good

    I tried the reverse pyramid thing. It's a weird concept. I've always worked up. But after warming up I went straight to the 45 db's and cranked out like 13. Then just went down to the 35's and so on.

  • @adamluck6439
    @adamluck6439 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    So is it 3 sets with the lower weight. Then 1 set with the heavy? or still 3 sets with the heavy after doing the stretch weight?

    • @DavidMccallister65
      @DavidMccallister65 ปีที่แล้ว

      Exactly. I'm wondering the same thing. I think he was doing drop sets after the 3 warmup sets but that makes my workout time double. Also, today I'm hearing that all the studies show that 6-8 sets per body part, per week is the optimal amount of sets for max growth so.....?🤷‍♂️
      At the end of the day, you can listen to all the big guys explain their routines and some sound similar and some sound totally different and yet they're all huge. So I really don't think it makes that big of a difference. I think the best idea is to switch up routines every few months to "trick the muscles" like Arnold described.

    • @FryngeMinority
      @FryngeMinority 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think it’s 3 sets with light weight to warm up, then heaviest weight for 8, lower the weight for 10, lower again for 12.

    So basically a bro split. Can you ask him how scott steiner train please?

    • @joesolo7719
      @joesolo7719 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      scott steiner said in an interview "I do a bodypart a day. been doing that ever since I started." So, Steiner does a 5 day bodypart split a week as well. The classic 5 day split has stood the test of time. Hit a muscle hard once a week, give it time to grow. it takes a week or so to let it recover and grow.

      What's a Bro Split?

    • @joesolo7719
      @joesolo7719 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      the 5 day bodypart split is the classic bodybuilder powerlifter split, used by Ed Coan and many of his contemporaries. Also the Rock, Cena, many IFBB pros. And Steiner said in an interview he does a bodypart a day. Luger and Buff do the 5 day split. It has stood the test of time. Muscle needs at least a week to rebuild. Thats why you hit a muscle group once a week. But there is still days where a muscle gets hit indirectly. So its once a week, but somewhat twice a week depending how you look at it.
