Casper is a city in, and the county seat of, Natrona County, Wyoming, United States. Casper is the second largest city in the state, with the population was estimated at 57,931 as of 2019. Only Cheyenne, the state capital, is larger. Casper is nicknamed "The Oil City" and has a long history of oil boomtown and cowboy culture, dating back to the development of the nearby Salt Creek Oil Field.
Casper is located in east-central Wyoming at the foot of Casper Mountain, the north end of the Laramie Mountain Range, and along the North Platte River.

Casper has a pretty good bar scene too if you’re into that. If you ever end up visiting be sure to go to Frosty’s and ask for a King Cobra. I promise you won’t be disappointed

@@tj_mcdonald21 We went to gooner brothers, skull tree brewing, little shop of burgers was awesome too. Cool town. Definitely going to be our new stop over on the way to Southwestern Colorado. We went through Battle pass and stopped in Dixon 4 beers at the Dixon club. And had awesome green chili cheeseburgers in Craig Colorado at The Local. Thanks for the response!

@@drivingdon3292 Possibly yes, when you consider he did, not only Casper, but Laramie WY, and I think Cheyenne as well. By the time you drive and extensively investigate those three cities and the space in between, it's not hard to rack up the miles. From Cheyenne to Casper is 125 miles. Casper to Rawlins takes 2 1/2 hours, so nearly 90 miles. Cheyenne to Laramie, 45 miles; Laramie to Rawlins approx 85 miles. His driving tour could have been the whole thing.

This is not a comprehensive list, but it is a start. 1) No education opportunity except for Casper College; 2) Only 1 university in the entire state (I was not about to move to Laramie); 3) Very little job opportunities unless you work in the oil fields or a service industry job; 4) the boom-bust cycle of the state's economy because there is no diversification of industry; 5) THE WIND!
