So today we check out Old Boy's latest awesome work, a Commander mod but set in Vietnam and in Call to Arms.. probably should've read the description of the mod lol..

ABOUT THIS GAME
Call to Arms offers an innovative mix of real-time strategy and 3rd, as well as 1st person controls. Set in the time of modern warfare, the game offers realistically modeled vehicles and heavy weaponry, as well as dozens of firearms and customization. Command your troops to victory or fight by yourself in the 3rd or 1st person action mode.
Conquer rural areas, factories, railway stations and towns during intense missions and use the environment to your advantage. Cover is everywhere, and almost everything can be destroyed. An unseen amount of challenges are awaiting you in exciting, yet competitive online combat supported by Steamworks!
Real-Time Strategy
Control several dozen units and place your squads in cover, flank your enemies and support your allies while advancing to the next key objective. Plant claymores, fortify FOBs, or set up mortar positions. There is an endless amount of options to choose in the RTS mode of Call to Arms.
1st/3rd Person Controls
Not only can you defeat your enemies as a commander, but also by taking over any of your individual soldiers. You can control them in 3rd person view, as well as first person. The game has no limits!
Tanks
Take over one of your vehicles at any time and join the heat of combat during intense tank warfare! Call to Arms offers you the ability to control every single unit to the last bit, including the type of ammunition you can use to take out enemy targets.
Helicopters
If you need that little bit of extra fire power, then hop into a helicopter and support your allies in online matches with some serious air support that leaves no room for escape!

like rising storm 2 and arma but if they were strategy game

So as much as I DID love this game, it's fallen flat, so many mods are no longer updated, the newest expansion is lacking, and there's been NO patches/updates in ages!

I just got this game and I LOVE IT
The newest expansion is not only lacking but bugged all to hell. I tried the first Russia mission on heroic, beat it legit with no mods activated and it didn't give me my gold star .... Played another mission and it said to destroy the enemy Bradley and I did but the objective glitched and never updated....
Old boy helper here Bob Semple watched the whole thing as I don't have CTA all this is old boys but looks good

Quick tip on how to call in the arty or support, it will be north/south then East/west. So it will 5573. The more numbers the more accurate it will.

If you're referring to GoH it's more of it's own game rather than an "expansion". launches from a different title entirely, not from the CtA menu like a true expansion would. Also different game engine and different developers.

use smoke more often. when that tank started shooting at you you should have smoked and put up sandbags. you literally get unlimited sandbags (have to wait for them to recharge tho) and also scavenge rpg's off the ground bc the LAW sucks.

Watching the video 1 year later, you can use the grenade launcher accurately. You just need to aim in. If you do not aim in the grenades will just go everywhere and not hit.

When you go into first person does AI take over commanding the battlefield as a whole?
nah nothing really changes
No but if you take direct control of a unit that selects all the other ones, where ever you go they follow, unsure if they copy where you shoot or the ai just auto targeting what they can see

How do you even get to call in units, when i play singleplayer skirmish i have only like 3 squads. And then when they die i cant call in more because the option isnt there....

Nah about gates of hell it had no chose to turn into a dlc as dmc the company that made cta did not give gates of hell the right to use there engine so that fucked up gates of hell
DMC is the worst company ever they make a shit game and then take the only hope for a good gem engine game and fuck it in the ass
First of all it's DMS not DMC, second *Their, and third Barbed Wire is doing a much better job than DMS did with CtA.
