Thank you so much for having this video. I’ve been trying to follow the Yarnspirations/ RedHeat romper pattern and like many others, I Couldn’t See My Stitches!!! So glad I thought to search for a video, You helped me to “see” the stitches. I did have to re-do rows 1-5 probably 15 or 20 times (No Joke) to eventually get everything right. I also put stitch markers in the middle of each v-stitch the first 10-20 attempts to help me find them as well as the extra sc’s in row 3. So… now I’m finally ready for the row 7-14 repeat. Wish me luck.
I’m glad you talked to us about the increasing the stitches around the armhole. Sometimes a patterns need some adjustments. It’s good to hear that you do that too!
Yes! It’s important to modify instead of just leaving a project. Crochet is very flexible artistically if you let it. Thank you for watching and commenting.
This is so very cute. I’ll be starting this today on a ride to IN to visit family. My grandson will look so handsome on this. I love it. Brilliant 💡. 💗🧶☀️
I just love this.. I have made a few dresses and other girls clothing. I need some things for boys... Thank you so much.. I love your tutorials... Can't wait to try this !!!
Wonderful! I loved that this was a faster tutorial! Thank you so much for helping me understand the pattern! This was my first intermediate pattern and the video helped TONS!
Love this very pretty, somehow only came out 10” in length for me though ;( same with width, although not quite as big a change in that direction) going to have to frog it and maybe try a bigger hook or increases.
You can use a bigger hook for sure, I cannot remember what size mine was. I think I have it in the description box of this video. Thank you for watching!
Hey All - I noticed several comments regarding the speed of the video. You Can Slow it Down! - Tap the 3 vertical dots in the top, right corner and select Playback speed. I do this frequently as I progress through the pattern and then go back to normal speed when I’m comfortable with what I’m doing. Best of Luck.
Jonna Martinez I’m always looking for something to do for the little ones at our local children hospital so this is perfect. Thank you for all your tutorials and thank you for your reply . From Ottawa Ontario Canada 🇨🇦
I am new to the Crochet baby sites as I have a new great granddaughter coming up I’m looking for onesies. I need a written pattern and I can’t seem to find one for this one and I really like it. Can someone please tell me how I can find a written pattern Thank you
Can this be worked in plain SC instead of the V-stitches? Wanting a more plain/solid surface to add embroidery to. P.S.: Thank you for showing how to create an envelope neckline!!
Hi Jonna. Thank you for this tutorial. I have not watched it all yet, but wanted to comment right away. I'm planning on making this and hoping I can do this. I was able to make your virus shawl for Xmas last year, sooo since you taught that one so good I'm hoping I can get this. (sorry rambling) Enjoy your wknd, hugs from San Angelo TX ♥️♥️♥️
Hello Adele, I’m very happy you were able to make a virus shawl! This tutorial moves along very quickly, but make sure to use the pause button. I wanted to make sure I fit it all in under 30 minutes as my internet is the worst and takes days to upload. Print off the pattern and use my tutorial as a visual aid. Thank you so much for watching and commenting. I hope you enjoy making this! I love making these onesies. Planing on making a few other colors as well. ❤️
@@JonnaMartinezCrochet Lol, I usually have to watch it first, then see if I have they yarn size, then I rewatch. It's a process. Btw, the recipient loved the virus shawl. The pineapple shawl is next (fingers crossed-prob start in sept).♥️♥️♥️♥️
Love it it just this is the wrong size. It needs to be newborn. Do you possibly know how to convert it into a newborn size? I have a collectors baby doll which fits newborn size but I can mange. I already started at the time of editing this.
Red heart acrylic yarns are find for this pattern! I would suggest their with love or soft lines as you want it soft and easy on baby’s skin. I don’t have one of these In hdc unfortunately. Thank you for watching and commenting!
I know this is a weird question, but is there a way to make this in adult sizes...? I happen to be an adult (well, teenage technically since I'm 13) baby, and since I live with my parents, I'm not really allowed to buy an adult onesie, my last resort is to make one myself!!!! So..... Is that possible?
I would free style it. Follow the basic idea. Chain the right length for the crotch area, then increase just like in the video. I think it could be fun! Thank you for watching and commenting.
I’m sad to hear the tutorial is not your style. The pattern is linked in the description box of this video so you can just use that to make this onesie. Thank you for watching anyways!
I've been crocheting for over 10 years...but this is too fast! I can't see the stitches on the screen OR in my work. I reworked the first several rows over and over and I can't make heads or tails of where the stitches are by row 4. It's really pretty, but maybe work in a brighter color or stop and show the stitches each round.
Hey. I used to find fast crochet tutorials hard to follow too. You see this 3 dots on the top of the video? I call them dots! Anyway, tap it, it displays a drop down showing, Report Quality, Captions, Playback Speed etc. Tap the Playback Speed, it shows various numbers for speed up or slowdown for the video. Or what I do is download the videos and in my VLC video Player both on PC and my phone, I just go to Playback Speed and do the same. It's easy. Try it. That's how I get to understand what's seemingly too fast! I hope this helps. I just saw this video tutorial and saw these comments and decided to respond. I apologize if it wasn't my business.
Cant follow your instructions. You are to fast..not getting it...for all of us beginners you need to go stitch by stitch or row by row ..i am giving up on trying to do this...
Haha Mary I've been doing this for years and trust me I don't even get this myself. I am still grateful thou.. It's free and it's her own creation that takes a lot of time and courage. I will have to pause and play this in super slow motion..

Very fast description can’t be followed
I do realize it’s very fast. It’s mostly for a visual of the pattern. It’s free to print off! Thank you for watching.
I think I am pretty good at crochet but I am having a really hard time following your instructions.😞 I am sad as this onesie is so cute.
