But as I live in an area that gets hail on at least a yearly basis, that clip is really disturbing, I truly feel for those folks. Hail storms can kinda just pop up out of nowhere sometimes too. Right on the boundary of a cold front on a hot day type stuff.
I was on a destroyer. USS Higgins DDG76. Definitely seen some killer waves. Out of the gulf, in between Canada and Alaska. Those 2 were the worst for us.

Yea, no, if anyone watched those mythbusters underwater car shows -- that door isn't doing anything until the water's equalized on both sides lol. Carry a couple gallons of water/milk around for a few minutes and realize: "oh, wait, that's heavy" ... now you have an entire wall of water outside your car lol. Water is effectively not compressible -- so, they drove into water, got it into their intake, and their engine pistons ramming down at 3000RPM a second just slammed into the water and destroyed the engine. They probably don't even have power anymore to roll the windows back up lol. Just what a complete bunch of idiots, and dude's are actually sitting there like "eh, I don't think anything really happened". I'd be pretty pissed, or shocked, that 10 grand just got ruined lol

Yep it's called "crabbing" and "slipping". They point the nose into the wind either to the left or right depending on which direction it's coming from (that's the crabbing part), then right before touchdown they turn the plane back parallel with the runway (that's the slipping part).

The second clip is no joke! There's a place in India, where you can still find the bones of probably a hundred people who perished in such weather! If I'm not mistaken, it was over 500 years ago, but some of the things you can find there are pretty well preserved for being out in the open, which makes it even more creepy. PS: the wether extremes that surprised me, or creeped me out 3) getting trapped in fog on a mountain near some cliffs and having no idea where my path is... the fog came suddenly out of nowhere! 2) nearly getting flushed away in a city. I was walking up a hill and it started to rain so badly that suddenly the ground was covered in almost 2 inches of water and they were running down the street fast. The road was slippery and that little water had quite some mass behind it... 1) getting surprised by a storm. I was studying for an exam and wanted to go out before it rains. It hadn't rained for weeks and suddenly as I was walking in a park the dead leaves and dry twigs piled up to a 3 m high wall and came crashing into me like a wave. Immediately thereafter it started pouring down so that I felt like getting water-boarded. I had to put my arm in front of my face to get more air as the wind mercilessly kept throwing water by the bucket into my face. Then the rain got less, but a tree fell in front of me and I turned around and saw more trees falling. I walked home and saw all sorts of things: traffic signs and barricades from constructions falling over, window shutters flapping... branches as long as I'm tall were flying in the wind and yet where I walked was only a gentle breeze. It felt so surreal...
I'm sure they were fine, they likely blew into that hedge and were able to shelter there. And little fluffballs like that are able to take a fair amount of tumbling about without serious injury.

If I'm not mistaken, it was over 500 years ago, but some of the things you can find there are pretty well preserved for being out in the open, which makes it even more creepy.
PS: the wether extremes that surprised me, or creeped me out
3) getting trapped in fog on a mountain near some cliffs and having no idea where my path is... the fog came suddenly out of nowhere!
2) nearly getting flushed away in a city. I was walking up a hill and it started to rain so badly that suddenly the ground was covered in almost 2 inches of water and they were running down the street fast. The road was slippery and that little water had quite some mass behind it...
1) getting surprised by a storm. I was studying for an exam and wanted to go out before it rains. It hadn't rained for weeks and suddenly as I was walking in a park the dead leaves and dry twigs piled up to a 3 m high wall and came crashing into me like a wave. Immediately thereafter it started pouring down so that I felt like getting water-boarded. I had to put my arm in front of my face to get more air as the wind mercilessly kept throwing water by the bucket into my face. Then the rain got less, but a tree fell in front of me and I turned around and saw more trees falling. I walked home and saw all sorts of things: traffic signs and barricades from constructions falling over, window shutters flapping... branches as long as I'm tall were flying in the wind and yet where I walked was only a gentle breeze. It felt so surreal...
So that’s where all the tumbleweeds were headed in the movies

I'm sure they were fine, they likely blew into that hedge and were able to shelter there. And little fluffballs like that are able to take a fair amount of tumbling about without serious injury.
