The Ghillie Shrimp Salmon Fly - Fly Tying Tutorial

A step by step video tying the ghillie salmon shrimp fly. Devised by Tony Black, it is an extremely popular fly in Scotland but also fished worldwide. The pattern once accounted for a 34lb salmon by its creator on Murthly water, River Tay. Definitely one for the box!

Dressing:
Tag: Gold oval tinsel or wire
Tail: Orange bucktail, crystal hair above
Rear body: Gold holographic flat tinsel
Front body: Black floss
Rib: Gold oval tinsel or wire
Wing: Grey squirrel dyed yellow, crystal hair above
Throat hackle: Blue guineafowl over orange rooster
