I’m on Ozempic. I found if I eat unhealthy food I get violently ill. If I eat healthy food and less of it, I don’t. I’ve gained benefits I never dreamed possible. My diabetes has never been this controlled in 20 years. It is saving my life.

@ I probably could have and I really tried. I yo-yoed with my weight. I got to about 180 pounds and my diabetes went absolutely crazy and I needed immediate action because my A1c went so high. Losing weight without assistance is always 100% the way to go but being a mom and always in the kitchen feeding the kids I fed my fat butt. My diabetes went crazy. I almost died then I found Ozempic. Now I’m down 40 pounds and excited to see if I can go keep up with my grandchildren in the coming year. It is just what worked for me and I’m grateful it was available.

Its because these people want to take these medication without following the instructions. For example, I used to get these side effects because I was eating oily, spicy, and junk food so I ended up in extreme pain. When I started eating clean, drank alot of water and protein shakes, all side effects went away. And the instructions literally say this but nobody follows it.

If Ozempic causes negative effects you can literally just stop taking it anytime. As many have pointed out, you can accomplish the things Ozempic helps you with purely with lifestyle changes. It's really easy to sit at your keyboard on the internet and lecture people about how they should just change their lifestyle, but I'm a realist.....I need the help. Love Ozempic. I have some minor stomach symptoms the first 24-48 hours after each injection but it's not much. Also I did start on Ozempic due to an A1C that qualified as diabetic. Technically I'm back below that level now, my A1C is way down, but I'm happy to keep it going for the help with weight.

While I don’t doubt the benefits of this medication or the side effects, it’s our culture, our eating and social habits that need to change. Mediterranean diet isn’t just about the ingredients. It’s also about connecting with friends and family. It’s also about not being car dependent and no burnout.

ALL medical interventions have side effects. The threshold where you should take them is dependent on the benefits and the chance of effects. The least tolerant of side effects is vaccines. Even unlikely effects can have a vaccine discontinued. Meanwhile some drugs, like Viagra was originally developed as heart medication and still have those secondary effects outside what it is primarily commonly used for today, are commonly distributed.

I doubt I can take drugs like this for my diabetes and I was offered to take Jardiant but paying now under Medicare is $795 a month is insane when we are paying a mortgage and inflation makes it difficult to survive financially.
I've been disabled since 2008, and my spouse retired just trying to work part-time and taking care of me. It's not working well and for millions of people. Trump needs to be declared unfit to run the country, and Musk has no business in politics along with billionaires. They need to pay their fair share instead of taking from the American people and increasing the deficit, killing innocent people who no longer can live. Hopelessness, living, and food expenses, also medical costs, are a huge burden. This system is broken. 😢

I see babies on push chairs with parents shoving a bottle of anything the moment they release any sound, sometimes just for attention! Now this will cause unhealthy eating later in life. I eat once a day and once a week, once in 48 hours. I don’t feel hungry! My peers have never felt hungry before, they snack before they need food and eat before they’re hungry. How can the body accommodate these calories? Have they been in ketosis mode? No! So they’ve never really burned fat as an energy source! The narrative is now being overweight is a disease not your fault, but is it? God help 🙏

Did you talk to your doctor about what you can do? There may be constipation issues that can be treated in a specific way when taking that medication. I hope you figure out that problem.
Another thing you might consider is eating more fiber and going to a gastroenterologist because sometimes constipation will not stop unless some minor medication is taken to get things moving.
Lots of water and fiber in your diet daily can in the long-term keep from getting constipation

If you don’t work outside your home, how about working from home and/or doing housework and errands between midnight and 8 a.m.?

weight its lost by an increasing resting metabolism. you would have to walk 12 miles a day to burn enough calories to have the same effect that a higher resting metabolism has. with age resting metabolism slows down.
so when ozempic gets covered by insurance companies for weight loss im gonna jump on the wagon. if you arent over 50 you got no idea what your talking about.

    • @lokipokey
      @lokipokey วันที่ผ่านมา +1

These meds do not increase your metabolism at all.
They work by decreasing both hunger and cravings.
People in the drug trials were assigned both a dietitian and exercise coach. But unfortunately insurance, even if it pays for the meds, does not pay for a dietitian. And if you do not change your diet to smaller, more frequent meals and avoid fats and fried foods, you will get the side effects. But most MDS don't know this.
Still, this woman should have gone back to her doctor as soon as her side effects lasted more than a week or two rather than waiting until they were so severe that they caused hemorrhaging. Almost every case of serious long-term consequences I have heard of have involved a patient who simply ignored the side effects, thinking they were normal, for an extended period of time. Even if her doctor could not give her good dietary advice, he or she would have recommended some kind of treatment for the side effects and or a lowering of dose or getting off the meds all together, since they were not working for her. But the doctor can't recommend anything if he she is not consulted

All drugs have side effects. It is the job of doctors to follow up with patients and monitor their progress. Because the American medical system is so broken that monitoring isn't happening, where i live a patient who reports he side affect she suffered from eoukd have been taken off the drug immediately. It's like getting a rash from penicillin. If you don't stop taking it, you might have anaphylaxis! That doesn't mean the drug is bad, but every body is different.
