I would still recommend starting with Crayola markers. The Supertips are great. Pentel Brush Sign Pen is also a good starter pen. The tip is smaller and firmer so it's more friendly for beginners.
If anyone is looking for affordable paper with lines, I use campus smart ring notebooks with grid paper and make diagonal lines in pencil. The paper is so smooth and doesn’t bleed through from the ink unless you do multiple strokes on top of each other.
your videos are the reason why I started practicing calligraphy. I am now able to make and sell my own pieces now because of your helpful videos. thanks! 🖤
I wish I saw this video before I bought Tombows as my first pens for learning hand lettering a few years ago... Would save me a lot of frustration! I definitely wouldn't recommend these for a beginner.
Tanks for the tips even though i cant afford it…. Juicy brush pens aren’t my type coz… i am a left hander… amd it smudges a lot….. i do get envious of right hand letters for the smudge free stokes…. But then too, i love you ❤️❤️
I also always try to make thin upstroke when i lettering but i still can't make it 😁, and after watcing this video, oh it shouldnt be done hehe, thank you for the tips
I want to start hand lettering in my bullet journal but I want to practice I but don't really know what paper is best to start with as I don't want to damage my pens down the line
Hi! Yes, I totally understand this problem! The rhodia dot grid journal has super smooth pages & I feel good about using brush pens in that one! Otherwise there are some marker paper notebooks out there too! Thanks for watching!
Love your content! Probably heard this before, your voice often has a vocal fry at the end of your sentences. I'm sure in real life it's not a problem, but that vocal fry doesn't work on a lot of audio devices with okay speakers. That vocal fry becomes straining to listen to.
I have heard that before! I think it’s from years of trying to do voice overs really quietly in the middle of the night because it’s the only time my house is quiet. 😂 Thanks for watching!

I usually use HP Premium 32 paper so I'm assuming that's what I'm using here!

I definitely still feel scared to apply too much pressure 😭
Yes! It can feel odd to be so heavy handed, but tombow dual brush pens are so strong! Thanks for watching!
