    Hands down the best Tombow tutorial I've ever seen. Thanks for putting so many useful tips all together in one video. I had a bunch of them in undergraduate school when I was studying costume design- they were great for rendering clothing and blended like a dream. But I confess I was having a hard time trying to translate the medium into bullet journaling, so this helped tons!

    Thanks for the left handed tutorial! So hard to find left handed videos to watch. As a lefty, I find it super hard to do calligraphy without damaging the tips.

    this really helped me. The up and down strokes. I didn't think I was able to do this lettering with these markers. But now I can after your tutorial. Thanks a million!

    Mark you are awesome!! I love Archer and Olive and Tombows together but the Acrylograph pens are awesome too. If possible could you do a video on how to blend using the Acrylograph pens? The way I am trying is not working for me lol.

    Lefty represent!!🙋 I actually bought my first Tombow set recently and im getting the hang of it.... There are letters that i find it hard to have that upward and downward strokes though..... Im afraid to press down hard as it might fray the brush but the way he writes the downward strokes seemed pretty pressed hard.... I guess its okay.... 😊

    Bless your heart! Fellow leftie here almost threw in the towel felt so defeated words didn't look like ads lol! Purchased in order to personalize and distinguish essential tasks in my planner. Writer not an artist- but just bought calligraphy begginer book. Going to practice before committing pen to paper in my franklin planner.

    What angle do you use to make your brush on calligraphy thick? Mine end up being too close of a similar stroke instead of showing a constrast

    • @ArcherandOlive
      @ArcherandOlive  ปีที่แล้ว

      Holding the pen with a slight angle can help but the most important part is adding ore pressure for the downstrokes to make it thicker!

    When I use them tombow pens, I can always see the connecting strokes especially when I use any color besides black. how do u keep the “connections” in your strokes from being so noticeable?

    • @ArcherandOlive
      @ArcherandOlive  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can easily use a really small amount of water to blend the areas on the strokes you are unhappy with!

      All you need to get started is a notebook from the Dollar Store, and a pen. Then perhaps down the road you might be able to afford more expanded products, such as A&O journals or Tombows.

      a black pen, a fancy highlighter in pink or blue or some other not too dark color, and a notebook, and you’re good to go. my first one was my old notepad. ripped off some pages, and it was an empty notebook again! you can fake calligraphy with a black pen.
