I am trying the Eliminator Xtreme winter pool cover this year. Has a mesh in the middle to drain the water on top of cover back into pool. Uses a dam on the skimmer when water goes over a certain height it drains out the pool. Pulls tight so wind doesn’t flap it around. Leaves should mostly blow off because the top is tight and the water drains off in its own. So far so good but still early.
@@DIYJIM yes will be interesting to see what happens. The water does mix. Chemical treatment is the same for closing. Last year was a pain with the pool pillow sagging cover and siphoning. So wanted to try something different.
Do you remove your pool ladder every year and if so is it screwed into the deck? My concern is that if I remove the ladder every year the screw holes will be stripped.

Let me know how it works. I would be interested to see if your water is clear when you open it back up. Does the rain water mix with the pool water?

@@jadecamaro let me know how it turns out. That’s how people that have inground pools cover their pool so hopefully it should be OK.
Love it! Thanks Jim. I have the same deck pretty much so this helped.
Glad it helped! Thanks for watching

Yep , I remove it every year. I just put the screws in lightly no reason to strip the holes out.
