The first one is most definitely not the original as Tales of Phantasia was from the SNES, that was not a SNES track. It's a shame the actual original isn't on here since it is epic!
I'm gonna say it. My favorite version is the GBA. There's just something to the GBA and SNES arrangements that none of the others achieve. Those versions have such simplicity that get overbloated by all the action remakes that you usually get with the fan versions, and the way the melody, countermelody, and harmony are all weaved together is *chef's kiss,* and again, it's something that you don't really see in the fan versions. The GBA audio quality is crap, but the MIDIs they chose sound better than the MIDIs for the SNES imo. All of the SNES MIDIs are just different synths, but the GBA MIDIs are distinguishable as different instruments, even if they're poorly bit crushed instruments. Once you get used to it, your brain fills in the holes, and you start hearing the music as if it were being performed by an actual band instead of by a bunch of computers.

Missing the actual original snes version, phantasia narikiri dungeon for the gameboy color, tales of the world: narikiri dungeon 3 remix, and the arranged version in the PSX version. I think that's all but i might be missing some random one from before july 2010. Obvi now there are even more versions but.

Tales of Symphonia's version is one of the better ones on the list. I am open for everyone's opinions though
