I've been thinking about buying my first sewing machine after a career in trucking and I love your videos. I love complex machines and you make it look so easy and interesting! Plus your beard totally rocks! Thanks for setting a good example and making us men look good!
Wow, I learned how to make a patch for myself, It just has S B in the center, but it turned out perfect thank you so much, now I will move on to more of a design in the patch. I can't express how much I appreciate your video's. SB
This is the video I’ve been looking for! I’m trying to get into embroidery and patches. From your breakdown on different machines to this, I just love it and appreciate it. Thank you.
Get a sewing machine 😂 then learn the basics, if you have no experience with sewing, try getting a basic machine first and then you can learn the basic first without having to risk ruining a expensive machine, after that, just keep sewing, a embroidery machine is pretty self explanatory and doesn’t need a lot of experience but watch TH-cam videos to help you start out 👍🏼
Hello Mr. Sewist! I get a big kick out of your demos. I’m a life-long sewer who has had a long life (75). I recently purchased this machine so I just found your site. I wanted to do embroidery on a machine as a callenge. This machine has so many features, it almost does housework! You are so funny, yet undaunted. Glad you learned about the seam ripper. Lol. You can laugh back at me because I have no clue how to put images on that “stick” off a computer@!#$!!! Will my ipad work? I learned how to sew on my grandmother’s black Singer treddle. I look forward to learning from you. I’ll ‘stay tuned’ because you speak well, show clearly and are entertaining. Thanks!
Respect & Salute, Brother. You just remotivated me to make more patches. I just stopped after the New Year. Did some digitizing and pattern crafting. Time to make it real.
You mentioned that you would be putting a backing to the patch once it was stitched out. Can you tell us what backing you recommend. I’m Just starting up my embroidery business being furloughed from my job. Your videos have helped a lot. Thank you.
Just did a test run on my new machine, but it did not use the thread color from the top? It used the bobbin thread for the whole letter, is there some setting that needs to be selected in order for it to use the blue thread I placed
i have the brother se600 and have been trying to make a circle patch similar to this. it comes out slanted to the left kind of like an oval. How do I fix this??
Loved the step-by-step instructions. What type of fabric did you use? I'm going to take a stab at it! I have a Diamond Royale, so I hope it is just as simple. Thank you!! :)
So I just got my machine and I’m new to the embroidery thing. My thread keeps getting tangled on the machine under the silver casing under the needle can you tell me what I am doing wrong or how to prevent this from happening ?
GOOD AFTERNOON, I HAVE AN IMAGE I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE DIGITIZED BUT UNABLE TO SEND IT . I WAS ON YOUR WEBSITE BUT DID'S SEE HOW TO SUBMIT. ALSO DO YOU DO ONE ON ON DIGITIZING.
Here's a direct link to the order form: "Custom Embroidery Digitizing": form.jotform.com/210847717470055 We also have a digitizing training video here: "Exclusive Content 🔒": form.jotform.com/210855002256043 | the form only accepts specific file formats so if you can't attach it, we can't accept the file type. www.NeverDenyMe.com
At 4:28, you mention a placement stitch. Is this a function in the machine? I don’t see this option. Also, what about when your machine does not embroider the outline first or even at the same time?
No, it's a manual step that I create when making most of my designs; it's not a machine feature. If the placement stitch is not apart of the design file, it's most likely not needed. www.NeverDenyMe.com
Great video :) I am trying to approach to embroidery and i watch several times your videos. I have a question, with this kind of machine is possible do patches with the definition and dimension of a lacoste logo (just to better understand :)) or it's impossible reach that wuality without an industrial machine? Thank you so much in advance :)
Logos come in all sizes. Depending on the model of machine being used it will be capable of stitch anything within the parameters of the hoop. www.NeverDenyMe.com
Hello. I want to create a couple of patches for someone. I want to include her name and job title. Is that something that I would just go on the embroidery machine and embroider out or do I have to have a file created? I'm new to this....
It depends, some machines may have simple text that you can make on the machine. It's very basic though. For more detailed/custom designs... We can make the files for you at www.NeverDenyMe.com
@@lucianaramos5307 it's hard to explain. I think I have a video showing how on my page but I'm not 100% sure. Start by turning the dials at the top of the machine to a lower number. Then if needed, remove the bobbin case & loosen the screw on it. It takes a lot of trial & error
I simply wanted to see the options and prices. I do not wear clothing with images nor text on them, so it was only out of curiosity. I found your channel months ago because I had no option but to buy a sewing machine due to my having played ice hockey for 17 years, skating 5 to 9 hours almost every day of that time which builds the glutes something fierce and I've grown tired of being forced to buy pants 2 waist sizes too large so I don't injure my "components" when I kneel to pick anything up or I sit down because the muscles of my posterior are substantially larger than most other men's who've not played the sport. But as a black man (what's with the term "colored"?... "black" is the absence of color, so white would be "colored" [not the smartest people screaming such foolish things]) you may know exactly what I mean with my pants problem. I watched your video on bobbins but it nor anyone else's provided any help at all. I put the needle tag end (the open, loose end of the thread) down the hole so I could try to loop the bobbin thread through it and did, but 3-5 stitches in it always pulls away from all the threads it's been passed through. It's a brand new Brother machine (well, it was brand new a number of months ago when I subscribed to your channel) and I've tried all 11 of the original clear plastic bobbins and bought a package of pre-loaded steel bobbins but the exact same result with all of them. When I pull on the bobbin tag end it unwinds very easily, so I've no idea what it takes to set the darn thing up to actually function continuously (or until the bobbin empties at least) . I've even tried putting the bobbin tag end in place in reverse, but exactly the same result. It's my thinking that buying a Brother rather than a Bernina, Janome, Juki or even an over the top Consew (then I could make entire leather interiors for cars as well as fix any damage to my motorcycle clothing) may have been a bad decision. My "new" (as in even having owned it for months it has been completely unusable due to the bobbin thread not remaining attached to the needle threads passed below) machine and why I stated the other brands I wish I had purchased instead: www.brother-usa.com/products/xr3774 . Any help from anyone would be welcomed to an extreme!
