    Love your video! I purchased the script and print fonts. I installed the BX fonts into Embrilliance software. How did you get your "hello" to stitch the running stitch to run for the whole word first. When I typed in "hello" into Embrilliance using the BX font, it stitches each letter with a running stitch - then a bean stitch with stops. Then it goes to the next letter and runs the running stitch. I did NOT do a color sort. What am I doing wrong?

    A couple of questions - You mentioned you normally would not have cut the thread after the H and before the E - but how would that work since the H ended on the inside of the letter? Also, I know you mentioned that so far you haven't had any issues with the thread coming undone after washing but had you considered doing a zig zag stitch instead of a running stitch? I only ask because it seems like there would be less chance of the stitch missing the thread that way. I'm excited to try this! Just waiting for my thread to arrive! I was SOOOO excited I apparently purchased the font twice!

    • @CreativeAppliques
      @CreativeAppliques  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! The h stitches backwards for the first running placement stitch. When it stitches the yarn down, the h starts at the furthest most part on the left of the loop where it stopped the running stitch. This means when the yarn is tacked down, it will stitch the same way as if you were writing the letter in cursive therefore connecting with the e. The design is digitized with a running stitch to get the most loft and fluff out of the yarn. A zigzag stitch would compress the yarn more thereby seeing more of the stitching with the yarn being flattened. Thanks so much for watching!

  • @Fairygirl10843
    @Fairygirl10843 ปีที่แล้ว

    Could you use any bean stitch for these type of yarn designs?

    • @CreativeAppliques
      @CreativeAppliques  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      you could try it. But you will need to stitch out the letter first. Then you will need to lay down the yarn in sections stopping the machine periodically.

    My machine "Luminaire 3" has a yarn attachment that I use to stitch the yarn down as it sews, no glue and no running stitch in advance. My question is: will this file work with this technique or will the file only work by gluing the letters down. Hope my question makes sense.

    • @CreativeAppliques
      @CreativeAppliques  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! I have the luminaire too! This alphabet is created to be used with your embroidery arm and embroidery hoop. It is essentially an embroidery design. It will not work on the sewing side of the machine. You will not use the yarn attachment of the machine. You do not need to use glue to hold down the yarn. It makes it easier but is not necessary. Thank you so much for watching!

    I just purchased your print design today and was so excited to get started! However I am very confused… I started a practice run as u suggested but it appears to be fully completing one letter at a time. It does not complete the running stitch for all the letters at once. I see 18 color changes on my machine, all numbered as 1. What am I doing wrong? Thank you!

    • @CreativeAppliques
      @CreativeAppliques  ปีที่แล้ว

      Since each letter is an individual design file that are merged to create one design, they are not going to color sort. You will need to move the first part of each letter to the first step of the design in order for that part of the design to stitch first. Warning! Do NOT color sort the entire design of letters. If you do that, you will have the running stitch all sew first, but then you will also have the first part of the curve of each letter stitch next. Which means when you are taking down the yarn, the machine will be skipping all over the place. This video might offer you more insight: th-cam.com/users/livedoUd_DceEmA?si=7nctrDCP3YUl6mca
