    My son and I started customizing Star Wars action figures. We love the Vallejo model paints. Curious, it didn’t look like you used primer. When do you or don’t you use primer? Also, do you spray on a clear coat at the end? We saw a video where someone used Modge Podge matte clear coat, but it is leaving the figures slightly sticky. We are using acrylic paint, but looking for a good matte clear coat.
    Thanks for the help.

    • @ToyKings
      @ToyKings  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I dont use primer often I have learned that this paint does a good job. And for sealed I have used wide types. Spray and paint on. I haven’t used midge podge before

    Hi , I was wondering if resin 3D prints are robust enough for use in action figures? Ive read varying reports on their durability but love how clean they print. I wanted to make accessories that would attach to my figures via 5mm ports but I dont know if after a bunch of use the ports might break off if I use resin vs using an FDM printer.

      It depends on the what parts your making. For example making a head your good works great but if your making joints I would say no it wouldn’t hold up over time.

    • @MrSameerMalik1
      @MrSameerMalik1 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ToyKings ah i see thanks. so what about things like the internal cavity on the head that the ball joint sits in?

    • @ToyKings

    Hey man I need some help! So I customized a figure with this paint, and It ended up sticky. I didn’t apply a lot: but it’s still sticky after so long.

    • @ToyKings
      @ToyKings  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hmmm are you sure it was acrylic paint? It could have been enamel paint and that’s stuff can get sticky.

    • @cosmotron7760
      @cosmotron7760 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Toy Kings yeah It was enemal

    • @cosmotron7760
      @cosmotron7760 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Enamel*

    • @ToyKings
      @ToyKings  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Stick to acrylic paints they won’t get sticky. Enamels are more for metal and glass surfaces.
