Or how some raps moments (like Eurylichus' part in puppeteer) do have the similarity. Apart from the way the rhymes work, it might also be how modern the instrumentals sound that makes me compare them
To be fair, I’m not sure there is any way to put rapping in a musical these days and not give off at least a little Hamilton vibe. Doesn’t mean they should stop. But some of these songs are definitely strong in the Hamilton influence.
It is really cool to see all the different ways the musical might have gone. Sort of reminds me of how the myths had different variants based on who was telling it when.

It’s so interesting to hear the sound of other musicals in some of these songs! As many people have said, Ismarus sounds like Hamilton, so does Boy and The Boar, but Let Me Be Your Light sounds very Dear Evan Hansen in my opinion. It’s so cool to see how Jay’s style has evolved into his own.

All of Calypso's songs are beautiful and emotional. While I'm glad "Appetite" got cut so that she wasn't tricked, "Belong to You" is no exception in its heartbreak and impact. If there's a full demo I hope Jay releases it!

Omg too much to talk about! - I’ve never heard The World Would Be a Better Place but I love the incorporation of Penelope’s theme into it it sounds gorgeous - Till We're Home is amazing sad that was cut though I can see why it doesn’t make sense right before Underworld, maybe in the first saga - I was so surprised Man of the House was cut, I really liked it and always imagined it as the opening song of the second act with the thunder saga as like, Odysseus looking back on his life with regret and being reminded that he needs to do whatever it takes to get back to Penelope, foreshadowing the horrors to come. - That scrapped Telemachus song's lyrics hit omg the "someone tell me why instead of strength I’ve oceans in my eyes" better show up it’s too good - I get why hades was cut from god games since he isn’t an Olympian and wouldn’t be there but the strings are just too good - Sad Olive tree was cut it’s so beautiful, but the replacement is also good hope some of olive tree makes it into / inspires the final cut I think overall it’s so awesome how transparent Jay has been with his song writing process, and how you can see hints / inspiration drawn from these songs in the official soundtrack

Vauge surface level thoughts about stuff: You can tell Ismarus was written early on when the hamilton influences were glaringly obvious (I'm so glad they're not a prevelent anymore I love Hamilton but I like that Epic is it's own thing) but that makes it interesting since it has the part from Monster. That song really has been worked on for a long time Also Your light reminds me of the thing that Jorge said about how cut songs are mostly attempts at portraying a moment that didn't work out and Your Light seems to be an example of that probably taking the role of Open Arms Cope With That also has the monster motif The Cyclopses uses the motif from Horse and the Infant (which also shows up in Suffering) The Hermes song shows the Hadestown references that were ultimately scrapped for the version of Hermes we got I love Elpenor I'm pretty sure the "Where is he?" shows up in one of the wisdom saga songs but idk them well. You can tell Ismarus was written early on when the hamilton influences were glaringly obvious (I'm so glad they're not a prevelent anymore I love Hamilton but I like that Epic is it's own thing) but that makes it interesting since it has the part from Monster. That song really has been worked on for a long time
Also Your light reminds me of the thing that Jorge said about how cut songs are mostly attempts at portraying a moment that didn't work out and Your Light seems to be an example of that probably taking the role of Open Arms
