Digital Literacy Skills to Succeed in Learning and Beyond | Yimin Yang | TEDxYouth@GrandviewHeights

Digital literacy is the ability to use, understand, and create digital content. Yimin’s idea is that kids and teens need to understand the risks and challenges in accessing the internet, and learn digital literacy skills so they may be able to become competent digital citizens.
Yimin is a 13-year-old student at Southlands Elementary. He is passionate about arts and basketball. Public speaking is also one of Yimin's interests, with which he hopes to share many stories and ideas with everyone. Yimin is also driven by action for whatever he believes. TED talks are such an engaging and relevant way to teach these concepts. I love this video and would show it to my fifth graders, who are digital natives, how to navigate programs safely. Thank you for sharing!

I love TED talks! I love how this TED talk discusses how we are living in a very tech savvy world. Students do not need to know how to work devices as they learn these things a very early age now. This video explains in an engaging way on teaching the digital citizenship concepts.
