The only thing that really makes the Jack romance suffer is how little she's actually in ME3 😞. But the times Shepard is there with her? They make every scene count. Jack is definitely in the Top 3 romances for me 💙

Jack is awesome. In my multiple playthroughs, she is the one I romanced the most.

In one of the N7 Day cast reunions, Patrick Weekes, who wrote that line for Jack, tells the story of how they had to defend it to the various S&P departments. Many in the cast had never heard that line about the table before and were comically aghast, especially Alex Wilton Regan.
Honestly, Jack's romance may be my favorite. Liara's has the most... content, I guess. Tali's is absolutely adorable and also may be my favorite. But Jack's just seems to pluck all the right strings in my brain, including the difficulty of a long-distance relationship in ME3. Her personal growth adds a bunch to the romance. And, of course, Courtenay Taylor's voice and acting nail it down. She LOVES that character, and it comes through in her acting.
My second favorite romance for Maleshep after Tali. I would say that her romance and Thane’s are probably the most emotional romances in the game imo
I can never bring myself to do a Renegade playthrough! I use Renegade options against enemies and shit, but I can never be a dick to my crew and friends. And the Renegade options for Jack are some seriously twisted shit!
That said, Paragon options don't always have the best outcome. Asari on Virmire, all I'm saying.

I've never romanced Jack. But I love her loyalty mission and helping her work through her trauma. And slightly disappointed she wasn't available as a companion in 3

I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you for these reaction videos. It really warms my heart seeing ppl play these games for the first time and what makes them so special. Especially when the mainstream media is always attacking it for one reason or another
I know besides the entire point of the video, but as I saw the chat in the beginning talk about Wrex romance, I just gotta throw this lil anecdote out: I never found Wrex attractive. Garrus? Right from the get-go (and I was disappointed he wasn't a romance option for MaleShep), but Wrex? Never. And then I played the Citadel DLC; and after the casino-mission, Wrex has this line (in the german version, not sure how accurate the localisation is): "What, no date with me, Shepard? Too much krogan for you too handle? Hehe". Which the german voice actor said in the most flirty tone of voice possible ... and I kinda just melted into my chair. Dammit, Bioware, now I'm mad Wrex never was an option! Better give us a badass romanceable krogan in the next ME to make up for it ^^
You don't have to role as a Renegade to woo Jack! In my second playthrough I romanced Jack successfully as a hardcore Paragon! All the way to the follow-up segments in ME3... A bit of fun in the ARMAX ARENA was to be had! 🤘🤣
It sounds like someone made it seem like you need to be renegade to romance Jack. You definitely don't. I always do near full paragon runs, and I've romanced her a couple of times.

In lieu of a full renegade playthrough, may I suggest a redemption playthrough?
ME1 and 2 are renegade, making bad decisions. Me3 is paragon or paragade trying to do right, while dealing with the consequences of me1 and 2.
That was you still have a likeable Shepard who doesn't do the crazy renegade stuff in me3. Because they shit is borderline genocidally evil
Bc the renegade decisions in me1 are always practical minded rather than evil.
In me2 there's more evil shit, but nothing unjustifiable, I guess.
In me3 it's leaps and bounds worse. Like you can let Samara kill herself and [I won't say it's a spoiler but it's super fucked up]

I love how passionate she was about everything she did. especially when it came to Tech stuff. but after Romancing Jack once & seeing, Listening to her past & how she feels. but love the Romance for both. but everyone has different tastes & views hell i Love Garrus as a brother. 😂 what are you're thoughts on each romance you have seen so far?
There's a mod that kind of restores what would have been a romance with Jack for Femshep since it was originally supposed to be the case

When you talk to Jack she mentions having been in a relationship with a couple before so she’s been with both males & females ; she was gonna be bi but idk why they cut it
There are Jack romance scenes with fem!Shep in the files, there's a mod that just unlocks them without adding much (and it's the same with Miranda)
@@glowhoo9226 There’s files in ME2 of Jack being both M/F Shepard romance - it’s in the game code. She was supposed to be pansexual but it was all cut despite being already programmed in. This was most likely b/c of the “controversy” when ME1 came out when some parents were appalled by sexuality in the game especially that with asari & F-Shepard

You can tell FemShep was supposed to be able to romance Jack because her dialogue is the same as BroShep’s up until the point of committing. There’s even a flirtatious tone with FemShep’s voice which clearly means there was the intention and direction of going that way. Unfortunately both Miranda and Jack were cut due to the “controversy” of having lesbian/gay/bi/pan human women which is why you were only allowed to romance Samara, Morinth, and Liara because they’re not technically “women”.
Samara and Morinth aren’t even really fleshed out as well. Mass Effect 3 is the first game where FemShep and BroShep can romance humans of the same sex. Unfortunately because ME2 cut the content of potentially romancing Jack and Miranda, it was never addressed in ME3.
Jack is canonically pan, she mentions being in relationship with men, women, and aliens, it doesn’t matter for her.
Miranda is canonically bi as well, you can also tell that there was direction for the romance as they have that flirtatious tone and again similar dialogue to that of BroShep and Miranda. The only difference is the cut off point for dialogue.
I think Bioware made it where there's no "good" ending. Either kill all Synthetic Life, Control the Reapers but not knowing if it's indoctrination or not, or linking all organic and synthetic life together but it might just be some sort of indoctrination. I do feel like the destroy ending with 7800 war assets is the best you can get because I don't trust the Star Child for the Control ending and the synthesis ending feels wrong to me. Also, I really want Shepherd to be alive so I always get 7800 war assets.

It really is, and it has a lot of baggage to tow. Maybe a lot of ground to cover. Choose your analogy. Anyway, until ME3, Femshep's only "same-sex" romance option was Liara, who isn't really even available in ME2, and isn't even really a woman (asari just present fem). Jack was originally supposed to be bi, but that got nixed for some reason (cold feet in the studio, probably). So the Traynor romance needed to be done well. The writers made some inquiries with some of the BioWare staff who were lesbians to get some insight into writing that story line. One of them said something to the effect of "we get the hot girls stuff all the time, but all we really want is the white picket fence," and that's how that particular reference got into the game.
To top it off, Alex WIlton Regan was raised by lesbians. The entire concept is literally like her actual family, so it meant a lot to her to have that arc done right and to play Traynor.

@@tilltronje1623 That one I find a little hard to believe, but I can't say it isn't possible. To be honest, I appreciate that BioWare gave the companions preferences because people have preferences; it helps make them feel real. While it's fun to tool around in, say, Fallout 4, or Skyrim, and have every romance option available (or, in the case of Fallout, all of them available), the relationships in those games don't tug on the heart strings the way that the ME relationships do.
It's rare to see a custom Shepard look good, but whoever did the Jack romance video made one of the best looking Shepards I've seen.

Nobody understands the ME3 endings. It's like they were paid to fail. Jack and Miranda are the best romance options.
Having tried all 4 endings, I can say that overall, the synthesis ending is the one with the best future.
Nothing is missing except the war, Shepard exists in everyone's memories and probably digitally and physically as well, and all romance options are covered.
Say this to most people and it seems players would rather keep shooting stuff until the universe wound down. Weird.
I like Jack/Shep romance, but my headcannon is always FemShep/Liara, and other romances on board are Joker/EDI, Garrus/Tali and Jack/Miranda. Spread the love! :D
Since the base of the whole series is Lovecraftian cosmic horror they wanted there to be no good 100% happy ending so they added some bad thing into each one, for destroy (which is the proper ending, no argument) they added that edi and the geth are killed, in synthesis shepard dies and you basically force rape the entire galaxy and lastly in control you turn into an AI that controls the Reapers and will probably in some time (say 50k years) turn evil the same way that the catalyst did and start your own cycle of reaping.
To this day, I don't understand how Jack's outfit works

letting go and being levelheaded(Paragon) or being cold blooded about feelings(renegade)
And further to explain how she would fall for Shepard
Well in renegade he is the only who understands her way of thinking and really cares for her(she is still a human and has some feelings that cannot be suppressed)
