They are both active duty officers. They each get paid a basic pay for their rank & time in service plus a housing allowance which is based on their location. Fairfield Air Force Base is an expensive area, so it's not that surprising that they're banking as a couple over 263k a year. BTW, military pay & housing allowances are all available online, so you can do the calculations yourself if you're so inclined.
Military makes good money when youre an officer and not enlisted, your pay get's pretty high when you're at a higher rank and how long you been in. Also some jobs such as pilots in the Airforce or any military branch can make really good money but of course not as good as airlines
They both seem so grounded and even keeled. Props to this young family. And a big thumbs up for Ramit Sethi as well. He has a TH-cam channel well worth checking out.
@@AD70003 what are you talking about lol. There are plenty of young doctors in the military. They are both in their 30s. That’s young. I also use the term military doctor loosely to cover NP and dentist.
@@Oll_704 you need to do 4 years of pre med , then 4 years of med school ( MD / DO ) , then 3 years of residency ; that’s 11 years of education ( min ) , however in certain specialties residency can be 4-7 years , also add 2-3 years of sub specialisation ( like cardiologist, gi etc ) . There’s no way a 27-28 years old can be an attending physician . It’s just not possible . Many people take 2-3 drop years here and there to match into their preferred med school / residency / fellowship , some do research in between . So you can understand how long the process is . Also 130k a year for a doctor is super low . Most start at almost double the amount ( 250k ) . Surgical specialists and some sub specialists will get paid even double that amount .
this couple is well on their way to becoming millionaires. I wish i could just send this video link to anyone who says it’s impossible to become rich in today’s age, or that people who are millionaires have to come from already wealthy families. You guys aren’t even doing anything super unique, just straight up being smart and disciplined with your finances.
I feel like there are some misunderstandings with officer pay. In addition to the different pay scales between enlisted and officers, there are additional sign up bonuses and retention bonus that comes with certain specialties such as pilot, doctors and lawyers etc. For example, a 63N (oral surgeon) or a 61Z (neurosurgeon) can get up to $600k sign up bonus for 4 years of service . So yeah their captain’s pay is a chunk of it but their BAH, incentive pay and other bonuses also play a big part in making 6 figures. You can find all this info on the Army website. Pretty sure Air Force has similar numbers
I was in the USAF for four years and left as an E4 back during that conflict. Money wasn't great at all but it was interesting. My cousin made the USAF a career and retired a full bird colonel. She did really well for herself and is now enjoying the fruits of her labor.
Nice story. The military is always a great option for people. The opportunity for great pay, good benefits, and great job security. They will never have to worry about being out of work.
Not surprised. In the military, you get not only a salary but allowances for housing (BAH) and BAS. You also get allowances for having dependents. These allowances don't count towards your taxable income. It also helps both of them are Captains (O3s.) Also, PX doesn't have sales tax. For you young military service members, get into the TSP as soon as possible.
Not to mention, when you retire from the military you get practically free health insurance for life, a pension (or TSP/401K now), and you're highly sought after by the private sector for a high-earnings second career. Couldn't recommend the military officer career enough!
Yes. Very possible to earn 6 figures in your 20s. I did it. AFROTC at UT Austin followed by 24 years active duty service with multiple deployments. This family has established and is executing a flawless financial flightplan. I wish them well.
They could be officers and could have started at 17 (like military reserves with their parents agreeing) before going full-time military (with a side of paper work) once finishing school.
Officers make substantially more than the enlisted. If you have your bachelors degree it's almost a done deal that if you make it through a couple of enlistments you'll get six figures easy.
They are both Captains and could be senior Captains or prior enlisted; increasing their pay but their allowances and incentive pay has increased their joint income.
Like other people have mentioned they are military officers but they also get housing allowance from the government and more money for having a child. They also get free health care and free food in base. They literally have a free ticket unlike non military people where we have to pay for everything from our own salary. A military person can make 40k and a non military can make 70k but the military person will end up having more money saved and more buying power. I did 4 years and saved 100 k.
This story is so flawed. Of course, they have ALL that money saved and invested. Military personnel have and get soo many benefits that CIVILIANS DO NOT. 1. No down payment to buy a house. 2. Free housing = mortgage is paid by the military with left over $$ to use for saving and investing. 3. Free college= no student loans to pay back. 4. Free health care= no health insurance premiums, co-pays or balances to pay or worry about 5. Free monthly stipend EACH for groceries. Groceries are ALSO already discounted at the military commissaries/ Px and exchange. 6. Free medications 7. Discounted gasoline on base 8. Discounted daycare 9. Military discounts at mamy restaurants and other establishments. 10. Extra pay for being married. 11. Extra pay based on the type of job. 🍎🍎 to 🍊🍊 They have a very big advantage over civilians who struggle every day and have to figure out how to pay for things or what to pay.
They put their lives on the line for country! Do you know how many servicemen and women paid the ultimate sacrifice or got maimed for life in Iraq and Afghanistan alone? The benefits you itemize are for their selfless service to the nation! Feel free to sign up and enjoy same!
Yes, they have advantages, but this story isn't flawed. You can find many officers/enlisted with the same benefits without $500k saved. You can find people making $500k/year who still don't have that much saved. They're financial planning and discipline is what allowed them to take advantage of their advantages (for lack of a better phrase)
@@aisherwasher6959 True, but discipline or not; if you have a 6k mortgage that is paid for you and medical and food; it is a big advantage no matter what other folks are not doing with their money; and yes they are wise enough to take advantage of their good fortune; ain't mad at'em jus sayin
The military was a great choice for this couple. Although not mentioned, I assume the military also helped pay for college so that did not cost them anything. It really shows that the military can be a good path for young people.
Don't get illusioned guys. These are not only officers but have specialized college education. The ordinary soldier in the US armed forces makes only 1,200 dollars a month unless he is in combat zone or is working a civilian second job.
yes... the ordinary first term solider who has less than 2 years in service. this doesn't include the free housing and free meal plans they get every single month. as you increase your time in service, you advance both your pay and rank. do some research
Congratulations you guys are great role models. The important thing is the educational skills you acquired which gives you a good salary plus the additional perks of being in the military.
Kind of misleading because that’s not the experience for most people. You’re making it in California because of the house allowance. My BIL and sister bought a house everywhere they were stationed since 2015 using the house allowance. Everytime they moved, they cashed out. They’re also sitting on 500k plus doing nothing different from your average home owner.
Great for them. Hardworking and responsible. And while I am by no menas a military fan, I know it's a good way for many low income families to get ahead in life. But I would never advertise my wealth so publicly and risk being murdered for it.
If I would've known how good a living u can make being in the service I would've joined the military a long time ago! Sometimes when u also have a good upbringing & have support from parents/family that makes a difference too.
6 figures is the new middle class. Nothing to see here, folks. 😢 I’m more concerned about the number of enlisted and vets that leave with chronic health conditions like Cancer.
bro I was enlisted and was balling. if your IQ is high enough and you invest and don't spend money on stupid stuff the military is a great path to building wealth.
I'm also in the military and yes it is very possible to have a nice comfortable life if you know how to save your money. In active duty alot of your bills are paid for! You get a housing allowance and food allowance etc. Ive been in the national guard for a few years now and there are a ton of full time opportunities as AGR or full time technicians. I know young newbie mechanics who make 35/hour.

They’re officers and get bonuses every year. They’re mil-to-mil couple so it’s nothing new
They are both active duty officers.
I wonder if Elon and Vivek will look into cutting some of those allowances with DOGE next year
since people don't want to join and are too lazy.
Such a sweet family! Thx for your service 🇺🇸
Thank you for real journalism and showing great role models to encourage young folks to join the military!
What an amazing young couple! Wishing Quinn and Brittney and their son all the very best in 2025! Merry Christmas🌲too! :)
They both seem so grounded and even keeled. Props to this young family. And a big thumbs up for Ramit Sethi as well. He has a TH-cam channel well worth checking out.
Yes, he has great content.
Before I even start this I’m going to assume one’s a military doctor and the others a pilot.
Can’t be a doctor . You complete your residency at min by 29-30 . Avg is 30-35 though . Attending doctors are well past their youth .
@@AD70003 your analysis is absolutely correct!
They get paid based on rank, not job (besides incentive pay)...
This couple is based!
this couple is well on their way to becoming millionaires. I wish i could just send this video link to anyone who says it’s impossible to become rich in today’s age, or that people who are millionaires have to come from already wealthy families. You guys aren’t even doing anything super unique, just straight up being smart and disciplined with your finances.
They got some good advice and are doing very well. If they keep on this path, they will be multimillionaires later in life. Congrats.
In addition to having greatly handled their money, none of them are on drugs, no significant others, no vices, etc.
That's what make them exceptional.
If they're making that kind of money they have to be officers
Literally said in the first minute of the video.
It's almost like you can clearly read Capt on their uniforms...
Happy she recovered ❤
Very cool glad to see how you work together.
US salaries are insane. No wonder the government debt is 37 trillion dollars and the unfunded liabilities are approaching 300 trillion.
Who pays you and what do you do for a living? Super curious to know...
@@funkonsightsame here lol 😊
Not to mention, when you retire from the military you get practically free health insurance for life, a pension (or TSP/401K now), and you're highly sought after by the private sector for a high-earnings second career. Couldn't recommend the military officer career enough!
This bright couple is what gives our country hope. I wish them the Best and Thank them for their service.
They truly put in the work behind closed doors
Hope she completely heals and gets that behind her. Nice work though, i like the monthly investments, very wise.
I'm genuinely impressed by these two. They seem like a grounded couple living life to the fullest as smartly as they possibly can.
Yes. Very possible to earn 6 figures in your 20s. I did it. AFROTC at UT Austin followed by 24 years active duty service with multiple deployments. This family has established and is executing a flawless financial flightplan. I wish them well.
Good for you all! Service is sacrifice. You all deserve every penny. - Crusty, old, retired enlisted guy!
I didn't think it was possible to make 6 figures in the military when you're in your 20's.
@@adam7349 yup and if they went to US air force academy or did ROTC in college, they won't have any student debt.
Listen up Millennials, its very possible.
4. Free health care= no health insurance premiums, co-pays or balances to pay or worry about
5. Free monthly stipend EACH for groceries. Groceries are ALSO already discounted at the military commissaries/ Px and exchange.
6. Free medications
7. Discounted gasoline on base
8. Discounted daycare
9. Military discounts at mamy restaurants and other establishments.
10. Extra pay for being married.
11. Extra pay based on the type of job.
🍎🍎 to 🍊🍊
They have a very big advantage over civilians who struggle every day and have to figure out how to pay for things or what to pay.
@@aisherwasher6959 True, but discipline or not; if you have a 6k mortgage that is paid for you and medical and food; it is a big advantage no matter what other folks are not doing with their money; and yes they are wise enough to take advantage of their good fortune; ain't mad at'em jus sayin
thats why im joining the air force lol
the recruiters office is open to everyone
The military sounds awesome!
It's a grind. I've been in 15 years. And retiring in 5. You do not start out making a lot, but you end up making good money if you stay in.
They not only serving our country but they also have great skills set!!! They save!!! Not wasteful!!!
This is definitely an extremely rare case
Go Air Force! Fly, fight win! ✈️
Blessings and good health for Brittney and Quinn and their family
Ramit in a Make It video?? Let's go!!!
Wow - Finally, a really admirable and financially smart family.
these two are excellent and relatable. God bless them.
I love Ramit’s work. ❤
Sometimes when u also have a good upbringing & have support from parents/family that makes a difference too.
if “i almost joined” the military was a person 🫵
@@Unknowncomanche is that a thing?
Couple goals for real
6 figures is the new middle class. Nothing to see here, folks. 😢 I’m more concerned about the number of enlisted and vets that leave with chronic health conditions like Cancer.
bro I was enlisted and was balling. if your IQ is high enough and you invest and don't spend money on stupid stuff the military is a great path to building wealth.
Thank you for your service
LMAO it's a job, they are getting paid and a lot, stop sucking up to these people.
@venom5809 👍
Why do you people always say that?
Never understood that.
Amazing. What an inspiration. Well done 👍
This video really highlights the potential of socialism: UBI (housing allowance), free education (GI bill), free healthcare (TRICARE), subsidized housing (VA loans).
Wow being in military is great in these times
they chose the right military position as well as knowing when to save at a given time in life when they had no kid(s), very young and rent/food/daily essentials living day to day by going to military which provides everything. good stuff
That VA loan coming un clutch. I mean this is average here in elk grove CA. Me and my wife hit 100k late 20s and make close 300k a year working for the state of CA as engineers. Its not hard its about the profession you choose.

I’m thinking about starting my investment journey, but I feel a bit overwhelmed and uncertain. Do you have any tips or suggestions on who l could reach out to for guidance?

Getting advice from an expert when building an investment portfolio is a wise choice , as the process can be quite complex

You're correct. I think the smartest way to go is to spread out your investments. By putting your money into different asset classes like bonds, real estate, and stocks from other countries, you can lower the risk if one part of the market goes bad.
I just have to applaud your content man, well done. Long term investors know that the market and economy will recover eventually, and investors should be positioned for such a rebound. Having a good financial advisor like Mr Lee Davis, it will add to your success in the crypto market.
