Since she has so many skins, you can imagine that it was a fairly big project (this a problem some of the other old, but very popular, champions like Lux have too). She also got new voicelines for her base skin which reflected the continuation of her story from "Ruined King" as well as a champion theme, which she didn't have one before. As for in-game, she's actually a relatively hard champion to play well since she is fairly squishy and relies on her movement and skill shot abilities to weave around a fight. If she misses her Charm (E) or her Orb (Q) she does basically no damage, and she needs to use her Ult (her movement ability) to survive during fights. She tends to be a relatively reliable pick in Pro-play though, particularly among the top players who are able to do some crazy things with her. The 'music' alternate universe actually links K/DA, True Damage and even Pentakill in their own alternate universe. Popstar Ahri, jaded from the K-pop industry, creates the independent group K/DA with her old friend Evelynn and newcomers Akali and Kaisa. Karthus, from veteran metal group Pentakill, is said to have been a huge inspiration for Evelynn. Following the success of K/DA, Akali forms the hip-hop/rap group True Damage on the side. K/DA ALL OUT is the follow-up to prove that K/DA weren't one-hit wonders. Seraphine was discovered when she did a cover of POP/STARS and was invited to collaborate with K/DA on the "More" track. * Star Guardian has its own full lore. It's easily the most developed of the alternate universes, but you would probably need to read up on the short stories, the bio entries on the Star Guardian skins, the voicelines (from the champions that have Star Guardian Legendary skins like Jinx, Ahri etc), the cinematics and finally a summary of the Visual Novels from both LeaguePC and Wild Rift from the 2022 Star Guardian Event for the full picture.
Most people think she's based on the Japanese kitsune, who are usually tricksters, but it's been confirmed that the main inspiration was the kumiho, a Korean fox-spirit which is less playful and more into killing and eating you. The whole predator discovering her humanity thing is a very interesting arc, to the point that I actually like her as a character, even though I don't find her design very interesting. And yes, all Vastaya live for a long time - there's a Vastaya side-character in Ruination who hooks up with another, human, character, and in the epilogue she still looks the same, while her human partner got old.
Xayah and Rakan have a ton of interactions and very entertaining voicelines, especially with each other. They are definitely worth a look! Particularly, if you want to learn more about Vastaya, their relationship to Ionia and what they think about humans! Just as a heads up: There are multiple interaction videos for them. They both have individual interactions, but there is also a "Rakan and Xayah special interactions" video containing their talk with each other. Like Ahri's ancestors, who got killed by the ruination. - Yes, Vastayans are somewhat involved with the Noxus-Ionia war, but there is also something called the "vastayan rebellion". It's essentially an uprising of Vastaya against humans. The Vastaya are very connected to nature and magic, so they don't like how humans try to tame the land and use magic to power objects etc. They want everything to be wild and free. Like you saw in Ahri's short story, they can feel the innate magic of the land and draw life essence from it. So they get weaker the more humans try to control it. The war greatly magnified this conflict, because the noxians didn't care at all for nature and the ionians had to use even more magic than usual to defend themselves. This is the main point of Xayah and Rakan's lore, so I won't get into more detail now.
Ahri got a visual update last year, so that's why all her skins look so good. Her skill animations are also much better than in the abilities videos now. Popstar is one of the only non-legendary/ultimate skins to have unique lines, probably the only one to have so many. Most of them are references to k-pop lyrics.
Yeah her new lines are very wholesome, I like that they acknowledged all her development and moved her character further. In another hand though it's kinda sad to me that it feels like her character arc is already finished and there's not much they can do next.

Ahri got an ASU last year, an ASU is basically when a champion gets a new model for some skins including the OG unlike a rework ASU only changes the looks in game and in splash, not abilitys so from Dynasty to Challenger splash arts were changed and that's why they look new

Evelynn gets stronger faster than Ahri and she truly enjoyes what she is doing . Ahri have human emotions of sadness and regret ,Eve doesn't . Evelynn have been alive for thousands of years ,she feeds of pain and suffering . They have a little similarities but as Eve says Ahri is a just a "sk*nk".

Foxfire ahri was ruined in her update. Spirit blossom is her best and i think KDA are some of her worst skins imo as an Ahri main.
