How about a family size steak and kidney pie,they seem to be dying out in the UK, and I remember my mum making them as a kid. I remember the smell and my mouth watering,she always did it with boiled potatoes and green runner beans with gravy. Love the videos , have tried several of the recipes Thanks and al the best
I'm not familiar with the "famous steak bake" you mention but these look fabulous! Could make these with poultry, other meats, chunk tuna or salmon. One day I hope you put out a cookbook online or print to order. You have tons of tasty dishes that are reasonable to make even on a budget. You don't get all precious with your dishes which is reassuring to many. Thanks muchly.
Wow, those look wonderful and I was going to make those for myself today. I have pastry dough and I went to the store to buy a little bit of beef and the price was astronomical. I'm in the US on the East Coast so I'm not making those for dinner. But that is gorgeous and I would have loved to made it. l
Delicious & mouth watering as usual & thank you, just one request though regarding oven temperatures, many of us use gas rather than electric, therefore please give equivalent gas temperature along side electric temperature, I hasten to add you are not the only chef on TH-cam to neglect giving gas equivalents! Dear me! Rick those look mouth watering good, The meat is cooked to perfection. I've been cheating with my steak bakes & buying the tinned stewed steak but I think I need to do them justice & get some fresh stewing meat.
This looks so delicious. I'm looking forward to making this. The only thing I'll do differently is silk the beef before cooking. It's a technique I recently learned and started using when cooking meat, especially beef. It takes less time and produces a smooth, tender, juicy and silky mouth feel after the meat is cooked.😊 Rik, keep up the good work, your videos are inspiring.💡
