    Excellent tutorial Ant What is the effect when playing the lead riffs?

  • @NGGlynn
    @NGGlynn 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Ant, how do you get the right sound? Is there a wah-wah effect? Please detail what's going on. Thanks!

    • @jstnxprsn
      @jstnxprsn 14 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Definitely played with a wah pedal (or an auto-wah).

    Awesome. I think it's easier playing it on an Electric vs. Acoustic IMO. Wish my fingers were long enough to to be able to more easily get clean sounds on the strings.. :(

    Hey Ant I’m trying to dial in tremolo on line 6 helix and at 81bpm it’s not sounding right as 1/4 or 1/8ths ? Sounds to me almost like there is a delay to the tremolo or repeats in addition to the notes played . Any help appreciated , do you still do Patreon ?

    • @jstnxprsn
      @jstnxprsn 14 วันที่ผ่านมา

      It's built on 16th notes

    Great tutorial .. can you explain the strumming pattern as I just can’t get it.. D UD D UD DUDU ?

  • @gomezthechimp1116
    @gomezthechimp1116 ปีที่แล้ว

    In the original song, is the final part of the solo sustain and feedback, or is it tremolo picking? I suspect the latter, but it almost sounds too clean for that.

    its impossible to 'thumb' the bottom E with short stubby fingers. I have to bar it.

    Thank you so very much, that was brilliant. What effects do you use?

    • @AnthonyFernsGuitarTutorials
      @AnthonyFernsGuitarTutorials  8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Haha thanks it means a lot! So the effects i'm using in this song are a Vox V847 Wah pedal, and an MXR M159 Tremolo. Other than those two pedals i'm literally just using the sound direct from the amp clean and dirt channels, and just changing the pick up selector for the appropriate sections (neck for rhythm and bridge for lead playing). I cant for the life of me remember the EQ settings I had for this video so sorry about that one! But generally speaking using a single coil guitar should put you in the right ball park, anyway thanks again for your comment and I hope this helped!

      +Anthony Ferns Thank you for taking the time to answer. It helped a lot - I will polish my playing with your tutorial and try to zero-in on the sound that you nailed perfectly, imho

    Nice, thanks! But I don't think you're doing the hammer on of the Cm quite like they do it. I think there's an initial hammer on from a straight barre. Check out this video: th-cam.com/video/Y5aEEpMpNUQ/w-d-xo.html
