Thanks for the info! My husband and I recently purchased the same exact machine but I've been a little afraid to use it because I don't know how to actually cut the wood pieces to make wreaths and signs. I will be using your layer color method and settings to see if I can finally get some cutouts going. Thanks again!

Hi, glad I came across your channel, I'm looking to buy the exact same laser cutter and wanted to get your opinion of it now you've been using it for a while. I'm hoping to cut up to 10mm acrylic, do you feel this is more than capable of doing that, I know the speed would have to be slow to do it but is it powerful enough? I'm new to this so any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hello Jon. I haven’t had the chance to cut 10mm acrylic yet. I can say this machine has plenty of power to cut 6mm as I have used it for that. As far as 10mm, I’m sure you should be able to go through it. You’ll have to try out some test cuts first of something small like a square and try out different speeds and power percentages to hone it in. You can also upgrade the focal lens to get better efficiency out of the tube which in turn can help cut into thicker material. I’m still waiting on completing that upgrade. I’ve had the machine a little over a month now and all seems well so far. I’m happy with it.
