And I can't seem to do a test print for to check the power settings on lightburn because they all hit 30 ma. When testing 10 percent to 100percent power
@@ikezarate1756 oh i see what you mean. honestly i never changed it, i can go in to the ruida controller later and check when i get back. when you cut a chob and set for like 15 for power whats the gauge read when cutting?
Hey I have that same laser. I’ve been using my cnc on acrylic but just realized I could use my laser😂😂. Could you tell me what power and speed to etch and cut? Thank you!!
lol ye mind blow i used to cnc as well now its tons faster and less messy. if you have the 50w the outside cut on mine is power 82 and and cut speed 2-5 and engrave power was 200 speed and about 15 power. but you will need to do test for each to see which settings are best all lasers will burn different but that should give u a great starting point
btw thats using lightburn software though
@@DaPrintHouse thank you. I am using the 50w and light burn. Works awesome.
@@wiliamc4016 use the settings i gate u?
@@DaPrintHouse I did and it worked perfectly. I’d show you a photo but you can’t in here. Great shop set up btw!!!
How to program the parameter cut
Hi in lightburn software you select cutting parameters
I just got my 50 watt just like yours, still getting the feel of it. They sent a little acrylic test piece with it engraved and cut. I opened up the test file and did the back of the test piece and it wasn't like theirs, it only cut half way through. I opened up the test file in light burn and all the settings were exactly the same 100 speed and 20% power, so I don't believe this machine was tested. I tried to do 4 speed and 80% power on 1/8" acrylic and it gets around half way. Have you adjusted your mirrors yet? Any help on adjusting them or cleaning would be appreciated. Thanks, great video really help.............
ye its always trial and error every machine seems different in my experience
Passtrough?
Send me ur old machine boss😂😂😂
Lol
i have one of these machines identical to yours. my problem is ....lmao....is figuring out how to use the software. not sure what's the best software to use. kinda confused whether i use 1 program or 2. programs and which one to use. ...and exactly how to use the control panel on the machine. the chinese instructions are a joke. so...unfortunately i have had it for 2 years unfired. I have not powered it up yet. was thinking about just buying a glowforge and selling this one. i'm kinda.....well....im a lot frustrated. so im searching you tube to figure out HOW to operate this machine. i have 3d printers i can rebuild and work with no problem...but laser engraving is a whole new world. thanks for the video...maybe 1 day i'll learn how to run the machine. i feel super stupid. the chinese SUCK on directions. thanks again for the video...maybe ill figure the machine out. hell..i know where the power button is...lmfao...
Hey we all start out somewhere! I use lightburn and there are plenty of lightburn setup videos/tutorials that can help you on TH-cam, dont be intimated you can get going in no time.
@@DaPrintHouse i'll keep looking thank you...or ill just break the damned thing.
@@johnstratairious7936 no dont break it lol
i noticed you're not running a water CHILLER...but just water in a bucket....does this keep your laser cool enough. oh...I've been studying videos to on how to use the software....they're not very helpful...i guess ill have to GUESS on how to run this machine. been sitting now for 2 years...i can run the shit out of a 3d printer and repair those machine...but am stuck with figuring out how to operate this software....im sure its simple...but i feel like i need an above Top Secret clearance to get any information...its like one of those AREA 51 secretive things. i'll break the code one day...or just sell the damned thing. lmao
lol funny post, yea i just use water in a bucket, i throw a frozen jug in there when im gonna run more then an hour for the day otherwise that's all you need. most low end chillers don't cool the water they just reduce heat of it like a swamp cooler. but uh Lightburn is easier then the oem software for sure, but there are a few channels i have watched regarding laser and Lightburn help. also a forum run by the Lightburn team.
great vedio.we produce this CO2 laser machine, pls contact us,we can make OEM for you.
