  • In this episode of the Outsiders, Noah and Mark head down to the Lower Niagara River for the first time since trout season. With water temperatures warming up a variety of different species can be caught this time of year. They are hoping to catch some trout and walleye but instead find themselves catching tons of quality smallmouth bass. This episode is just the tip of the iceberg, MAKE SURE TO WATCH PART 2 WHICH WILL BE COMING OUT NEXT WEEK!!

      Nice work💪💪 if you can make some 1/16 oz ones for float fishing I guarantee I could catch every fish in that river hahaha... for real that would be fire 🔥

    Got some nice toads in this one! I’ve been using the centerpin with a Maribou jig at a further downstream spot and have had luck with a bunch of different species, sadly no more steelies around though. Can’t wait for part two!

    • @OutsidersOutdoorCo
      @OutsidersOutdoorCo  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nice! We're definitely going to head back a couple more times downstream before the moss starts to get bad. That what we were trying for too, some Lakers but no luck :/😎👍

      @@OutsidersOutdoorCo you guys got some lakers? Man I know people around here don’t like them as much as steelies but I haven’t caught one yet so I’d be stoked! Just been getting smallies, sheepies, and some white bass. Keep up the great vids and hope to see y’all out there some time!

      I didn't, but I know some ppl who have been catching a few, they usually have a smaller spring run. One of these days we'll run into each other!🎣🎣

    Darn, you guys were on them that day! Always fun to get into giant smallies! Personally I’m just as happy catching non-stop 3+lb smallies as I am catching steelhead, especially when you have a spot like that to yourself!
    Great video as always!

    Hey, i fished in this exact same spot for around 2 hours. I got here at 3 and used fake silver minnows, fake crawfish, senkos, and crankbaits. Can you have any idea what i am doing wrong

      I also forgot to put I did not catch anything. Do you have any sort of suggestions

    • @OutsidersOutdoorCo
      @OutsidersOutdoorCo  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey George, what size weights were you using? Usually when I use plastics at the Niagara I use 3/8oz jig heads to get them close to the bottom. The closer your are to the bottom the better chance you have of catching fish. I cast 45 degrees upstream, let the bait sink till it's in front of me and slowly start jigging it in. Also you can try putting the lures under a float too! Hope this helps!👍😎
