#1 for me for the longest time was the Cle De Peau Radiant Fluid Natural Foundation. But my newfound love, the Dior Forever Skin Perfect Stick Foundation has de-throned it because of Dior’s performance, convenience, easy application and price point.
Another new love is the Chantecaille Future Skin Gel Foundation.
I have the Dior stick and enjoy every aspect of it. I have been wanting to try chantecaille's gel foundation ... is it applicable for oily skin? And is it light coverage? And light weight?
@@dianetrudeau8417 Chantecaille gel foundation performs great on my Combo/Oily/Mature skin! It feels light on application and gives me medium flawless radiant coverage. I purchased the foundation when Sylvie Chantecaille/Founder celebrated her birthday with a site-wide discount of 30% in July. I believe she does this annually which is wonderful cause “budget” is real in my world!
Anyway, I will now reach for the Dior stick and Chantecaille gel foundation more regularly then my former Holy Grail, Cle De Peau.
@@dianetrudeau8417 It is my hands down favorite foundation. I have dry skin and is light coverage but looks like skin. It's just beautiful - and no fragrance which is a big plus for me. Very light weight and natural satin finish.

I have the Dior stick and I have oily skin. I genuinely hate dewy/glowy foundations and I was shockedddd how the stick looked on my skin. It actually looks like skin. I don’t like glowy foundations because I feel like they emphasize certain unflattering contours on my face. Like my nose looks bigger. No shine at all. It’s winter where I live so I think that might have something to do with it. But it’s the perfect foundation in the drier colder weather without looking shiny. And it lasts so long! It seems pretty transfer proof as well
I‘m oily too & took the Dior stick with me on a summery vacation - and it worked there for me as well 😊

You look just as good in cool-toned shades as you do in warms. Thanks for this video! It’s interesting to see what made your cut. I am going to speculate that 2025 will be the year of foundation; either reformulations or new releases.🤞that Tom Ford reformulates the stick foundation to be competitive to Dior. My favorite foundation is the Cle de Peau cream foundation with Dior stick coming in as a close second.

Hi Charlotte! I ordered the Tom Ford Shade and Illuminate foundation in Warm Sand, and I cannot wait to receive it! I am lucky enough to work from home, so most days I don't wear makeup (just a Vitamin C serum and daytime moisturizer), but when I do, I want a nice foundation that showcases my glowy skin! :)

Yay!! Great video ! 🎉🎉🎉I love the Dior Stick Foundation! Applied w a Brush and looks flawless! Prada is tied and closely followed by MAC Serum Foundation. A few others that are worth a shout out: Haus Labs and Sisley. Love all!! Light Neutral Normal ish skin. Hard to pick faves!!!😢😢😂😂😂❤

I was thinking about your Holiday look idea:I still use my CT bigger holiday palettes. I think they are such gorgeous, glamorous palettes and the packaging is so festive. I have the Starry Eyes and Smokey Eyes ones. You can do a nice variety of looks all perfect for holidays and winter season. It's sad they're forgotten because you'll always get a stunning look with them

My everyday is Tomford shade and Illuminate, la mer is a wow, Bobbie brown amazed me recently soooo good, dior stick and chanel sublimage my forever ❤ for more coverage I go with prada I love this foundation. Thanks for this wonderful video.
Last week a makeup artist tried all possible and impossible shades of the Dior stick on me, but none matched! We gave up on it and I went back to my favourite Beautiful Skin foundation. Because the Dior covered my red spot on the nose very well. I also bought the airbrush flawless foundation by CT and hope it gives more coverage. But as I said there was not a single shade for me of the Dior stick foundation...
Also an olive girly here! Current favorites are the About Face foundation (F2 Olive) , the Nars light reflecting foundation (Gobi is my shade) and probably the Mob Beauty ceramide blurring foundation (30 olive) as well. Beautiful finishes and more medium coverage
My favorite foundation is Chanticaille Future Skin Foundation. NO FRAGRANCE which is a plus and it is light to medium skin like finish - just beautiful.

I know what you mean about the La Mer not looking fab initially but then looking flawless! I also adore the Prada foundation. These are in my top foundations. Have you tried the Chantecaille future skin foundation?? I would be really interested in a review on that and what you think. ?

I’m loving the Patrick Ta foundation. My skin is incredibly dehydrated and dry heading into winter. Even though this is too dewy for a lot of people, it doesn’t look dewy on me. Good amount of coverage for me to even out my redness without looking like makeup. I also found the most perfect color match!

Love your entire look today, very lady like 40s/50s style ❤ I'm your foundation opposite, with oily (mature) skin, I run for the hills when I see the words, glow, dewy, luminous. However, the Dior stick 😱 don't know how they did it, but it genuinely seems to suit all skin types. It looks amazing on my skin, even hrs later, admittedly I have to dip my face in finishing powder, a step I cannot skip regardless of the foundation.

Chanel , Dior soft glow, Sheisedo Synchro Skin. Chanel No 1 is the best foundation I’ve used with the most perfect undertone I’ve ever found!
As usual I am very late to the party but this was FABULOUS!!! I really want to try the Prada this year. I still have almost a full bottle of my Armani but soon.
my holy grail is the valentino foundation as im very pink and fair the shade LIGHR1 is PERFECT and it wears incredibly well on my dry skin 😍
My favorite is Haus Labs. The only thing I don't like is it can settle into lines, but I love the finish of it.

I love my Dior stick! I originally bought a lighter shade, but didn’t want to part with it. I then got my actual shade and use the lighter one under the eyes. Silly, but I love it.

What shade are you in the Laura Mercier foundation?
I'm always gasted to my flabber that people have different winter and summer shades...cuz I forget that the majority of the world tan naturally and aren't pale AF as me (who also doesn't ever get darker...white and red are my only 2 colours and i try to avoid getting burned). I do really want to try the Patrick Ta one, but I need to finish up some of the plethora of foundations I already own first
Haha, me too! I am pale as a ghost all year round. I don't burn, though. I seem to be immune to the sun. No burn, no tan, nothing. But the advantage of not needing summer - and winter shades of foundation.
Oh I admire your restraint and discipline! I have more foundations than I can use in 5 lifetimes yet I always want more!
@@cabrooker I have a super hard time getting foundation to work for my super dry skin, no matter how much prep I do beforehand, so I have around a dozen different ones. Even the new Fenty Beauty one looked like doo-doo the first 2 times I used it, but the third time with it was much better (maybe my skin wasn't as dry that time). So I typically end up using the Covergirl skin perfector or the Danessa Myricks yummy skin tint cuz those sit better)
Have you tried the sweed skin tint foundation? It's sooooo good! I think you would love it.

Hi Charlotte, thanks for this video! I have two favorite ones : givenchy Prisme libre and one pretty controversial : the Tom Ford traceless foundation. I have an oily skin so the Tom ford is just perfect on me. I tried the Houslab and it is funny because it never looks the same on my skin lol I guess it depends on what I use underneath. But it is pretty inconsistent. ❤❤❤❤

A new foundation I've been loving this year is the one size turn up the base, omg it's soooo good I can see this becoming one of my holy grail foundations. Another I tried this year, which is a gorgeous foundation, is the Fenty soft lit. Foundations I have to have in my collection are Nars light reflecting and soft matte, Armani luminous silk, Hourglass ambient soft glow. I still like the Guerlain terracotta le teint, ive just finished the Laura Mercier flawless finish and I like the Huda beauty easy blur.
I am a shade twin of you. I love the Dior Stick Foundation, the Prada, CT foundation, Nars and the Laura Mercier !! All gorgeous but especially the Dior stick in 3N 🙋♀️🇬🇧

The Charlotte Tilbury Beautiful Skin foundation has a shade that matches my skin tone so exact that it literally disappears but leaves my skin looking amazing. My son got married and it lasted to whole day and late into the evening and at the end of a very long day, I still got compliments from the last of the stragglers. The Dior stick is my travel foundation, and I have a few others, notably, the unfortunately messy Sublimage cream foundation, and in the winter in New England, it's the only one I use.
Is the Sublimage cream foundation the most moisturizing among all you've mentioned? I'm looking for a winter foundation for my dry skin.

You can't go wrong using Chanel Velvet foundation from light to medium coverage that lasts all day. Good for sensitive skin.
I 100% agree in your favourites here - I love Charlotte Tilbury Beautiful Skin too - but no one seem to talk about it anymore? Only downside is that I find it to last a bit too short on me - I apply my makeup around 7 AM and when I get home from work after 10 hours its kind of funky around my nose and chin - but I love the finish and shades in this. Prada is also one of my top favourites, and Nars Light Reflecting too. Dior stick is super wonderful, I enjoy it a lot. And I actually bought Tom Ford Shade & Illuminate on your recommandation - and absolutely not regret it :-) Regarding having to purchase several shades in regards of summer/winter shade - have you tried the Haus Labs white mixer? Its supposed to change foundations shades to lighter nuances without making them look grey. I always have at least 2 of all my favourites, and Im wondering if this works as good as I have heard, for lightening foundations form all brands. Would be nice to just have one of each and add this mixer in the winter.
How does CT Beautiful Skin compare to NARS Light Reflecting? Which one is more hydrating for dry skin?
@@amosunia Hm... they are both on the dewy, hydrating side - maybe CT a tad bit more.
Guess its not a foundation its a skintint but my favorite complexion product is the Lisa Eldridge skin tint and i really Like the Chantecaille future gel foundation too both low coverage products. I have heard so many mixed things on that Dior stick people say it is glowy and beautiful and others say its matt and dry but i was going to purchase it in the sale and try it but then i got scared because i dont want anything matt and dry . People say its for oily skin then others say its for normal to dry skin so idk but im normal to dry i dont like full coverage but i know the less u use of something u can control the coverage. I kinda wish i just bought it for the 20% off then i was torn between 3N and 3.5 didnt know which to order was leaning more towards 3.5 . I wish so bad that TF didn't put spf ingredients in that shade and iluminate foundation its beautiful i have a whole bottle sitting here i cant use that i spent a fortune on and it breaks me out because of those spf ingredients 😢
I have the same complexion product preferences as you and am also a shade twin, Nars has been my go to for the past years so want to try something else. I can’t afford Tom Ford, so the Haus Labs sounds most interesting , everyone seems to rave about that. Although not new, just wondering what you think of the lisa Eldridge foundation? I remember you said it was only ok before, but wondering if you have still used it?

@ I’d say haus labs however I have normal combo skin. I think good skin prep prior might help. @nikki La Rose on you tube just did a video this week on dry skin recommendations
I have tried the Prada sample and I am loving it! now I need to get the full size but still on the fence, should I get the Lisa eldridge tint or the Prada for work/ everyday long hours and looks like skin with covering redness rosacea cheeks. Any tips?
Nars Light Reflecting foundation is by far my favorite holy grail and the shade Mountblanc is perfection. I also love the Dior stick and Tom ford. Not so much the Sisley phyto teint perfection foundation which I think costs at least as much as the Tom ford and it is NOT as good. Especially the shade range. ❤
Maybelline superstay concealer they stopped carrying it in the states so really just blush and bronzer and a little bit of white translucent powder under my eyes and t zone for oil and blurring
For me it’s Chanel Les Beiges water fresh complexion touch and Lancôm teint idole ultra wear because my skin is dry and I am living in very dry environment.
An important question: Have you ever seen Montale perfumes have a black friday or any other sale on their site? I'd like to buy a parfum for my spouse as a Christmas gift and also to get the complimentary 20ml bottle too, to get me a smaller something... It's a pity that one parfum isn't always enough for the free shipping🤔 I bought many samples last year and know which ones to get. My favourite was Arabians Tonka and his was Wood & Spices...and I like that on him too!
I need to watch some application videos for that Dior stick, because I've got it but it just looks meh on me :/

It’s thinner, more watery, and I don’t feel that the coverage is as good. It even smells different. I’ve heard some of the American TH-camrs mention this, particularly Melissa55.

I’m a little confused, while holding up the Haus Labs foundation you said it was 260 your winter shade? In your description box you have it as your summer shade and 190 as the winter shade.
What am I doing wrong? I tried the Dior stick foundation and it looks terrible on my 50 year old normal skin. Wears off and shows pores? 😮

I was so excited about the haus labs but i'm actually a bit disappointed. It's not even medium coverage on me and I don't generally have any ptoblems atal coverage wise but it doesn't cover even slight redness on me. I tried building it up and it just wouldn't even when using a lot more product than I nornally would. I really want it to work because it's a lovely finish but my products stick to it a bit and it just doesn't sit well on me atal but it must be my face as I seem to be in the minority.

I got so lucky with the TF foundation. It was on sale at John Lewis for half price, so £56! I purchased three of them. There’s nothing quite so outstanding for me as this amazing makeup. I bit the bullet several months ago and now use the TF primer too. It’s an amazing combination of outstanding products; well worth the splurge IMHO.
