Hey I know how that is. My childhood dog max was such a good boy. I have autism so my dog was essentially the place I could learn to socialize and such without fear of judgement. Same! I do love most animals, but I just vibe most with cats. I also dream of meeting a tame raccoon some day, and getting to hold it lol. When it comes to dogs I usually prefer the more chill ones. I do find puppies adorable though, even though they tend to be hyper lol.

Y’all are so cute I was born raising dogs and i’ve raised 5 dogs (im 28) and I’ve rescued about 15 that I’ve rehomed. It gets easier I swear! The first week or two can be difficult because you’re adjusting, but then everything will become a breeze! You got this!
I have a cavalier that looks exactly like Tank, and they are really the best, most affectionate, amazing companions. They have no job but to make you happy, they love pleasing their owners and will likely never leave either of you alone for long. Mine also humped until he got fixed, after that it gradually waned off. They love playing and toys, tug of war, etc. Mine doesn't really understand fetch, its more like "Hey why did you throw my toy the fuck dude". Negative reinforcement doesn't work well with cavaliers, so its nice to hear you want to do only positive reinforcement. You guys will love him, he's a forever puppy. The way it worked in my household is I was the one to play with him, sleep with him, and be his buddy so he sees me sort of as another dog. My wife however is the calm one and our cavalier really bonded to her. He follows her around the house wherever she goes, is sad when she leaves, and lays with her whenever she naps. I hope your cavalier is as amazing as mine :)
Hi Icky I have had a puppy for about a year and a half (so not really a puppy anymore lol) he may bite your feet for about 6months to nearly a year but they do calm down you just gotta keep rewarding the good things and being firm when he's bad. You've got this it's rough at first but worth it!

Watch out for cables, EVERYTHING GOES IN THE MOUTH, EVERYTHING!!! I had a puppy since May last year, she has been trained pretty well, had a toilet schedule. Immediately after waking up, Immediately after food, immediately after drinking, and ever half hour otherwise. Puppy pads by the door, treats after every successful bathroom break. I will say, I’ve worked with dogs for 7+ years and been around them a lot of my life. I have NEVER seen a puppy hump that young? Also, this isn’t to scare you but please just be aware that cavies are renowned for having heart murmurs and other health issues so just make sure you’re conscious of that! Lastly, I’m a dog groomer and I 1000% recommend getting him into puppy grooming sessions as soon as possible as you can after he’s had his vaccines. They’re like little introduction sessions so that when he gets older and goes in for proper sessions, he will be ready and know what to expect. The adult sessions are also twice as long as the puppy sessions so it’s best not to just throw them in at the deep end.

When I had a puppy cavalier King Charles, I litter box trained him for the house. It worked for a few years, so I didn't have to get up to let him out. I used the wood pellets for pellet stoves instead of cat litter. It was cleaner. So nice to see Tank! 🎉❤
As someone who have a King Charles caliver they are so cute! Though make SURE to not get the inside of their ears wet they are prone to infection very prone so cute mines name is duchess and has the cutest prettiest pink cage and sleeps and takes naps in there!
Another thing walks every day they are also prone to heart problems. And they are also very clingy and have bad separation anxiety and they cry a lot like a lot but a lot of those are happy tears.
Its beter to go to corses with your puppy rather than sending them off. And also in the beginning its important fore him to be with you so that he forms a bond with you and starts to feel safe with you.
I recently found out about the brand of Icky's shirt in this video 'Balenciaga' through a video by Nik Nocturnal talking about (or rather making fun of) their DIY Metal collection and I thought it was kinda funny that she duct taped the name on her shirt but then I found out that thats an actual shirt you can buy from them for a lot of money lol, made me chuckle, also tank is very cute

Yes!!!!! Had cavvies growing up, and one of ours was a white/tan colour. They are lovely dogs and so cuddly and kind. Such wonderful dogs!
