- What do we have here? - The greatest value engine ever printed, the best stat-ed creature, or the best stax creature in the command zone? Or better yet, we can have it all with Elesh Morn, doubling our ETB trigger and denying our opponents of their value on top of a giant, aggressively costed body. I wonder why they even printed this card. I guess it’s too late, it exists and we exist to make our opponents suffer. We also should have named Elesh Norn the mother of all variants because I have no idea which version is which any longer. Let’s see what madness I come up with.

This commander is just so bonkers. I expect my playgroup not to appreciate someone running her as commander but she will deffo go into some of my decks :D
I like that you compared the two version, cause i really consider her stronger than the old one and dont understand why shes that easy to cast
Yeah, it’s a little safer to run in the 99 than the commander. Safer for your ears because of all the salt flying your way.
Oh the Restoration Angel and the Felidar Guardian is definitely a combo! Add a Altar of the Brood and that's GG.
Thanks for the clarification, yeah Altar of the Brood would work. Even alone, that card annoys people because of the milling.
Explain how the combo works by itself like I’m 5. Wouldn’t it just keep blinking each other in over and over? I get the brood combo but not just the two
If the rules committe bans her, I think the obvious follow up question should be, "Why does MoM get banned but Tergrid doesn't?"
I guess, she's not bannable. But she is miserable to play against, especially in the mirror.
Yea cathars crusade, is really the only main way I found to win at first. Playing just flicker alone doesn't do much for you in a game. You won't survive long with a bunch of 2/1s on board. So what I did was just added more punchy cards in the deck. And more token generation. Defiler of faith and Oketras monument give you free tokens on cast, as well as mana reducers. Devine visitation turns them into angels. Parhelion II because why not? You won't be planning on swinging them tiny creatures because your gonna want to flicker them. So might as well use them as crew fodder. There's a secondary way to get a cathars crusade effect. Add a few life gain synergies then use archangel or Thune or nykthos paragon and you can beef your team that way. If you add enough life gain you can justify adding angel of destiny and knock players out like that. Also this deck is cool because after testing you dont really need all the generic expensive mono white card draw cards.. the deck will naturally draw you cards. I dont agree with less ramp tho. I found that unless your playing the stax/combo version of the deck then youl probly be running a decent amount 3-5+ drops.
😊Elesh Norn is her own worst Nightmare. I play a lot of clones in many of my decks. Can’t hardly wait to copy Elesh Norn and see the Elesh Norn player cry :-)

Hello VEX MTG, i would like to start off by saying i have been loving your content and i actually bought one the the deck techs you made Liesa, Shroud of Dusk. Anyways i am looking into buying this one and i got Sword of Forge and Frontier and Phyrexian Vindicator from the compleat box edition. I was wondering from your advice since you made the deck if i could possibly use these cards and which cards i could replace them for. Thank you for responding in advance if you choose to :)
Edit: As i keep thinking about this deck. i thought about the idea of adding Smothering Tithe since most or some of the cards are pretty mana heavy i feel that smothering tithe could help get the mana from the treasure token created from the trigger and also prevent the opponent from possibly playing a card since if they chose to spend 2 mana. Thoughts? i’m still new to magic and it would be nice to know if i’m going in the right direction or not.
I’m building this deck and I am running into the same problem you’ve come to. If you don’t get cathar’s crusade I don’t see a clear path to victory. I added in Heliod / walking ballista as a secondary win con. Either way, getting there should be fun!
I’m going with token route with mine. It wins with halo foundation or combat.
With Elesh's ability, can you flicker (exile and come back) the same target twice? Or has to be 2 different targets? Does her 2nd ETB trigger resolve first, or after the creature's flicker effect resolves?
Both targets resolve at the same time, so if you target the same target, one would resolve and the other would fizzle. You can get around this by targeting a blink creature like felidar guardian once you get them out for the second trigger, then once they etb, they can target your original target (and presumably a second target).

Ive had a mono W deck for a couple years now, O.G elesh was the commander for the longest time but since a couple months ago I swapped her for bennie bracks (token card draw). I have been enjoying collecting the newest cards but I feel that my deck is know just withe staples. Im planning on swapping to new elesh and check if I can build her w the usual shenanigans. Thanks for the video ill be rewatching as I build ;)

Wanted pick your brain on super friends edh and if a landfall engine might be a good to try mainly stuff that makes blockers on landfall? Also wanted to see if you have a super friend deck you could show with the new cards?
Isn't Preston a better Blink commander?
Preston is in the the deck, who know I've never tested Preston, I imagine he would be a really good blink commander.
I think elesh norn is the better one personally. You get double etbs right off the bat. With the added ability to shut off opponents value. With preston, you need to already have a creature out then you have to flicker it to get the token copy trigger. So its Essentially a double etb with extra steps. But either way you go, if you have them both out then your board is about to go crazy.
I pulled this card in a random pack and considered making a deck but will wait until people post some actual games with it to decide. It feels like there's no solid wincon in white ETB blinking or double ETB effects and the game is insanely oppressive and slow for everybody else
I built it and played it. It can be extremely oppressive and can avoid a lot of targeted removal, and rebuilds quickly, but you are correct, I didn’t win until cathar’s crusade came down. I think you need to add more general win cons to it like Heliod/walking ballista. The deck is very smooth though.
They need to reprint homeward path. Or make more cards that has the same effect. Stealing people's stuff is one of the biggest salt inducer.

I just pulled her out of a pack today. Going to build the nastiest deck solely based making one person in my play group scoop and leave to never want to play with me again. Dude deserves it for the arrogant way he plays with his way over powerd decks. Dude ruins the game for everyone so I will pay him in kind.
