hey bro, what is this flat thudding kick style? the kicks i've heard for the last 4 years have been really gross raw kick and sharp punchy kicks that are very unpleasant to the ear, and not fun for dancing. i've searched everywhere but can't find the specific name for this style of kick. I'm not sure if it's unique to euphoric hardstyle because even modern euphoric hardstyle has switched to rawkick, and it's ruined the entire genre

To expand on rawkick a little bit, I have learned to let go my annoyance with the sound, and enjoy the rest of hardstyle tracks for their other positive elements, but it's still weird to go through track after track and have to force myself to ignore the kick as if it wasn't there. While I can tolerate it to a degree, almost nobody I introduce hardstyle to can ever accept it, and that's fine it's not for everyone, but it's still unfortunate I can't enjoy it this style of music with more people. I am US based, so we have have a different preference compared to Europe, but overall the modern rawkick punchy kick style doesn't allow for tunes suitable for dancing, which is a really fun aspect of going to festivals and listening live. Once that raw kick sounds hits, the crowd energy just flat out dies. The thudding drawn out thumpy kick is just more acceptable to the crowds over here, especially since hardstlye has never had a chance to become popular here. Just wanted to end with a thank you for your video which are super helpful and informative, cheers from USA!
