Both rad choices.. I want the pickup bad, and I could see the Aptera parked next to it in the garage. Come to think of it, might just be a solid pairing.
I have had a preorder for years on an Atlis truck and still waiting and losing faith in them. I am interested in the new Ram. They are blending some of the features of the Canoo pickup box into the Ram. I am invested in Canoo and think their van is a stroke of genius. I love the truck but it needs some tweaking to bring it up into the realm of midsized or just step into the 1/2 ton truck market with an extended wheel base version and decent tow and payload capacities. It needs to compete with the current Chevy Silverado but does not need to sit as high. The lower load height comparable to a Honda Ridgeline would make it more usable.
I'm a long time fan of oddball cars. Loved my VW bug back in the day and always wanted an electric VW bus but gotta say not impressed with the buzz. I currently own a Tesla X (we also have a model 3 and a leaf and used to have an i3...been years since we have owned an ICE) and in the market for my next EV either Van or Truck. I have a pre-order on the Cybertruck but honestly loving the look of the canoo much more. Was also interested in the Rivian quite a bit but price kept increasing drastically. What's holding me back on the canoo? The range. pure and simple. and this is coming from a long time EV driver. I had the I3 and we currently have a leaf...so I'm used to low range cars. BUT when I get an adventure vehicle (which is what the next one is for, either truck or adventure van) it needs to actually get me to the far off places! I hike in the mountains A LOT. I need a car that can get me there and not die while I'm out hiking and leave me stranded (I live in New England so we are talking real winters). So if they can fix the range issue - I'm sold for sure!!
I’ve got a preorder in for the Canoo truck and the Silverado EV, and am watching with interest the GMC and Ram EV truck news. I doubt I would want a truck with less than a full crew cab though, so I’m hoping Canoo will announce a crew version this year. I noticed Ram kind of taking advantage of its late to market position to stuff their concept truck full of most every idea everyone else has already put forward (love the idea of the pass-thru to the frunk that would let you carry say a 16’ 2x12 out of the way inside the truck). Please give us a true crew cab Canoo.
I'm interested in a small pickup ev, but need 4-5 seats for the family. Mostly waiting for an electric maverick or a cheaper rivian, but hoping canoo has a crew cab truck option.
pricing in the EU and the UK is always with VAT sales tax included......so prices are always 10-18% higher compared to North America...there's the exchange rate to deal with and the fact that most euro brand cars for the NA market are built in North America to cut down on transport costs
Thanks for posting. I'm interested in the Canoo, but some of what makes it unique is breaking the deal for me. The square wheel and the "lounge" area are gimmicky. I would have put a deposit on one if it had more traditional seats and a round steering wheel. I currently have a Transit Connect, but wish it was just a little longer for camping in. Great for hauling my family and luggage. How do you do that with the Canoo? Your cargo would be sliding around in the center. Any cargo is easy to see by thieves sitting in the middle. The price is reasonable compared to the I.D. Buzz, which is what I am looking at, but I want to like the Canoo.
Good comment. I'm also wondering if this will end up being available with a more traditional layout for the back.. I think it's a no brainer personally, but we'll see I suppose.
Would LOVE a Canoo.. I can say if they get into production they will have a looooong time of supplying contracts like Walmart etc before they get around to people like us. I got a Lucid for now and am sure it was a good choice. (I got in before the last price increase). I do see a lack of info on the new Lucid Pure that are actually rolling off the assembly line.
@@GearboxPizza Sorry if I wasn't clear.. I got a Lucid Air Pure on the way.. Not here yet.. But Q1 this year is the hope.. Im in San Diego.. Home of the Aptara ! Also home of Doug Demuro lol..
The Ioniq 7 seems like the most legitimate competitor. Hyundai has sort of stolen the EV crown from Tesla in a lot of ways. The Ioniq 5 is just the most cutting-edge while still reasonably affordable thing I know of. And the 7 is gonna have a lot of interior space, and clever design elements, as well as just a bizarre exterior . It's just a concept right now, so there's a few years before it will actually be a thing. Canoo still has the advantage. I really want the Canoo Truck though :D And, right now, there's just nothing that even comes close to what the truck is doing. It's picture perfect everything I want in a vehicle right now.
Broski! Broski? It doesn't matter. It's nice to see you back, mate! The Chrysler Pacifica is made by Chrysler. That's a nail in the coffin for me. The VW is just going to sink in sails, unless some wealthy hipsters decide to buy some. Nothing against VW, but that model simply does not face a chance against a Canoo in an MMA match. Hydrogen, (H) makes cars piss. The expense is large, and it pisses out of the back. So... why do it? I've always said to people to own a bicycle, a petrol auto, an EV, and a hybrid. All bases covered. My recommendation would be looking at Lexus as a hybrid for a future one. Apologies for not being as humorous as I try, but it's been a bad day. You know how to contact me. It wasn't a big issue, so no worries.
Edge case. How about the Morris Commercial JE electric van? As for the ID Buzz. I would think $45-50k is probably correct. UK pricing is super high. Just look at Tesla. Take the price you pay in the USA and then add another 30-35% for the UK price. It's a mix of TAX and companies gouging people who just want the latest thing.
I think the bus does have a chance in the State side! I think if they get the range up to 400 range, and 120mph it will do really well,! I do like the Canoo tho! It's cooler but the BUS looks good too! Honda is just HONDA one of the best production vehicles out there! I think they might wait just a little bit to see what options come out, but if they add a cooler in the Van! Well that's going to be the Best ever Honda yet!
I like the Canoo as it looks. Very original and I hope that here in Europe we can see some before long. Rivian, Canoo are 2 real competitors for all EV cars / SUV. Living in Europe, I would never buy a German made EV...too expensive and quality is questionable... as always. Korean / Asian will do really well ..your next video on some Asian models...!

I’m looking at the Toyota Sienna for price and being a reliable hybrid. My next choice would be something like the Ford Transit or Maverick. If the Canoo really existed at a reasonable price, I’d be all over it. Still, Canoo is just a con, they’ll never build it.
I'm disappointed that Canoo is so eager to shed the image of a minivan that they've gone out of their way to design a really impractical cabin layout which can't really carry people and cargo at the same time. The Mini Urbanaut has the same problem. Both are designed to be lounges on wheels. There may be some demand for that, but not from me.
I put a $100 deposit down for a Canoo pickup truck, BUT my real use of an EV will be V2L... Vehicle to load (house load). I only drive 1k a year BUT I want a battery back up for my Solar install, I think EVs will be the future of home battery back ups.....
Good stuff right here.
Preordered Canoo Truck and Aptera
If they could just make their existing models, that would be nice. I'm getting tired of waiting
I'm interested in a small pickup ev, but need 4-5 seats for the family. Mostly waiting for an electric maverick or a cheaper rivian, but hoping canoo has a crew cab truck option.
Canoo and the Bolinger B1,two good lookin' EV's
pricing in the EU and the UK is always with VAT sales tax included......so prices are always 10-18% higher compared to North America...there's the exchange rate to deal with and the fact that most euro brand cars for the NA market are built in North America to cut down on transport costs
There is a sizable truck behind the seats.
absolutely love the videos!! especially the canoo ones
Obviously a very handsome dude right here.🤘
Great Video 👌
Thanks so much man!
How you digg'n the Lucid?! And where abouts do you live.. just curious😉
@@GearboxPizza Sorry if I wasn't clear.. I got a Lucid Air Pure on the way.. Not here yet.. But Q1 this year is the hope.. Im in San Diego.. Home of the Aptara ! Also home of Doug Demuro lol..
ahh ok gotcha, hope you dodge any future delays! ..
I'm really eyeballing the Canoo pickup and the Aptera.
Hurry up Canoo and make them for the the public!
Great job!
i'm sold on conoo!
I still want a Canoo or 3 but they went from being priced at a prospective $35K to what mid $50K in the latest updates
The Cannoo is awesome. How can I get one in OZ
I really want one of these! I hope the company CANOO does not hit the pooper.
What’s the intro background song? I LOVE IT!
Good point about the Ioniq 7.. I saw the concept in person and we impressed. On a side note, I'm 100% with you on the Canoo truck.. gotta have it!
I'm about to heat up leftovers, fry two eggs, and turn on my TV to watch this.
I like your style bro.
Broski!
What tipe of betteries does Canoo use? Are they gonna go into flowstate bat?
Im.thinking the Canoo van is a bit to short in length.. and the truck I love but needs a 4 or 5 passenger..
Any info on the ecanter?
Did Canoo get a contract with U.S. Department of defense?
17:34 Back in the 50's the Emperor of China drove Buick's because of this it has a special status in China.
Does anyone know if Canoo completed their first delivery of 15 vehicles before the end of the 2022?
I like the Canoo as it looks. Very original and I hope that here in Europe we can see some before long. Rivian, Canoo are 2 real competitors for all EV cars / SUV. Living in Europe, I would never buy a German made EV...too expensive and quality is questionable... as always. Korean / Asian will do really well ..your next video on some Asian models...!
Buick love in China goes back to the time when the emperor rode around in one, so that gave it real cachet.
I would really love a Canoo, but I wish they were using lithium phosphate batteries
Aptera for me and I will be keeping my Silverado 3500 to carry my 6800 pound truck camper!
TELO Trucks looks to be US made competition to Canoo
When is the canoo pickup hitting the streets?
I'd like to see a single person, possibly 3 wheeled efficient commuter I can drive to work when I'm by myself, which is most of the time. Use my real car for real traveling with the family
XPeng is already expanding in Europe like many other chinese brands
It's break break year for canoo
That's putting it lightly. I'll be praying.
1. Canoo. 2. Cybertruck. 3. Aptera + an old Tacoma
Pretty much nailed it.. and already have the old Tacoma🤘
@@GearboxPizza 😆
Go Canoo go ⚡
I'm getting one. I'm covering it with solar panels.
yea thats a cool idea
I think the problem is that people don't believe Canoo exist. Yo u have to visit the plant and show the production.
Conoo has no comparison or competition. If only it would start production
amen.
really, have you heard of Esprinter?
We are interested to be your distributor
200 mi range is a deal killer 600 is the sweet spot
I put a $100 deposit down for a Canoo pickup truck, BUT my real use of an EV will be V2L... Vehicle to load (house load). I only drive 1k a year BUT I want a battery back up for my Solar install, I think EVs will be the future of home battery back ups..... I could keep driving my Dodge Charger and get a used Tesla and put the Tesla up on cinder blocks as a battery solar battery back up....smile.
I am really impressed with the GM ultima battery tech AND GM is going to come out with V2L charger stations.... so I might go with GM. But THE Canoo pickup is so cool looking smile interesting times. My solar contractor gave me a bid of 25k for ONE Tesla battery....
as an avid aficionado of the bizarre (I ride an Electric Unicycle for fun, check my channel for proof), I appreciate the style of the Canoo
But as a utilitarian, also like the function of the Canoo.
I wanna put this in my garage right next to my (future) Aptera 😉
I wonder how much Canoo is spending to stay at the top of my feed…
Check robovan from tesla announced for 2024. Sorry you don’t like vans. I love them. They are the best option all around if they are nice looking with a good performance and versatile. Toyota sienna only hybrid so far
whoa, i had not heard of the Robovan.. thanks for the heads up Patrick!
Aptera all the way!
Right side folding wheelchair ramp, at the March Air Force Base Air Show 22-23 April 2023 . squadron 50 Civil Air Patrol ev for transporting cadets under the MEEP programfor the Air Force Auxilary to utilize the grant and save money to buy jet fuel to protect our country.
If TOYOTA took the 2009. F2 and put a battery in it...... we'd be talking a lot about that.
How about a why the Canoo people won’t stop smoking ganja and playing video games, go down on the shop floor and build some Canoos for delivery? Video.
I don't think the XBus would even be street legal due to its power and weight. It's a euro electric Kei truck. The Cannoo is likely a winner.
The ID Buzz is surprisingly not much better than the Mercedes EQV, even tho it’s way newer
I’m not really sure Canoo has a head start over Tesla. If you haven’t built your factory yet then Canoo is behind as Tesla factory building experience shows their efficiency. Giga Mexico will go up quick, then casting and assembling streamlined before we know it.
The Canoo over the VW for sure! I don’t trust VW quality as everyone I know who owned one, including myself, had problems.
We’re looking at the Tesla van also.
We owned VWs, so many things fall apart and break without touching them. Never again. At any price. No eurocars for us.
Bro the EURO to USD is about 1:1! So $58,000 US
Canoo would cost $90K+ if they would ever build it, which they won’t.
Canoo price starts at $35,000 -$50,000..
OKC plant will tell everybody about Canoo that wants one. Governor Stint wants Okla. Into EV's.
@@jimniecurtsinger5361 We'll see when/if they hit the market. On the negative side, not planning to make any deliveries until well past when they run out of money. On the positive, battery tech costs are dropping every day and they constitute they main cost of the vehicle.
Love Canoo, but worried about charging network. So looking at Model Y and Cybertruck as well.
Cybertruck? Really?
The X Bus will be the best competitor for the Canoo because neither will ever be mass produced.
Sadly, if Canoo is successful they will get bought by some mega-corp. If they misstep they will be crushed. I think it is about 50/50 if Canoo exists in 2 years - And I am being optimistic /(.v.)\
the biggest ONE, Esprinter will win .
Man, this company has made a lot of promotional videos.
Renault/ Nissan/Mercedes? Sounds sketchy.
Chevy Silverado EV.
SUV'S = Station Wagons --- YUCK. Mini Vans? YEAH. Center Console? YUCK. 3 person front seats? YEAH. 2 box body -- YUCK. One box body.? YEAH. Former owner 55 VW Transporter,
66 Microbus. YEAH. 2WD's fine.
#1 Canoo. NO #2
I really like this post
이제 좀 가자 5달러라도 제발 가자
Canoo is still far away from delivering any vehicles. Not so long ago they were almost bankrupt. Untill they ‘ll start producing and delivering to customers, there’s no point of speculating on anything.
We’ve seen so many promissing EV car makers vanishing before being able to produce any of them.
Wait and see…
The factory in OKC is close to producing vehicles and are supposed to be in the fall of 2023..
Canoo was supposed to be making cars by the end of 22 how are they going to beat everyone else ? Lies lies lies
Canoo has no vehicles all those other companies have vehicles.
Still not on the market. Nothing from China on the market.
