"Ripples of Sunlight and Shadow"
In melted pink of May
we found nerves placid orange might create
or kill left unchecked,
stagnant, overexposed, frayed.
Came ripples of sunlight
and shadow with appetite
to feast.
When color stops changing, it grows
tired, uneasy,
thirsty, still.
It was finding change together
what kept our color's will.
