Now do the same with the YZ125X & YZ250X please. That would be great. Specially running cost comparisons and overall fun factor compared to what you've now done with those two WRs. Then a race around that track of yours with all 4 models.
Impressive riding Adam and good to hear you express fear about the 450 on the log wall. Amazing footage but good to know you're human if braver than most of us.:)
Enduro bikes are designed to conserve your energy. Super conservation of your energy. Its as If the bike is driving on tram tracks. Steering wobbles are reduced by 80%. Gear changes also get reduced by design. Logs are male gossip. Male gossip has nothing to do with enduro bikes. Enduro bikes restrict your movement and conserve your energy effort. Go buy a trials bike like everyone else.
Great video!! How you walked the obstacles and discussed what you were doing was really good so well done. Good to hear that it it puts the wind up you too. Good to know you are human after all😀. Keep up the great content👍
Even aside from the differences in the bikes, you nailed a lot of descriptions regarding the physics and the feeling of running in on some intimidating situations. Switching from the 450 to the 500exc on Saturday, I needed to hear this. Thank you Riemann.
Man, I'm so impressed with your videos. I'm new to moto after, well, a lifetime in the outdoor world, so I won't be riding like this at this point of my experience. But, damn, it's impressive and enjoyable to watch and listen and learn. Mostly, I liked the parts about how you have to work your way up to most of this and being smart about the conditions, although, in a way, I was disappointed you didn't go for the log wall on the 450 lol
I sold my 2018 wr450 to buy my 2020 ktm 300, both awesome bikes but the wr suspension is way ahead of the standard wp stuff ktm use. Great video again mate 👌
Looked at the wr250 they are nice bikes love the KYB ,but i got a ec350f wanted few more cc ,feels perfect power to weight for forest trails singles , ,loven the linkage rear and updated rear shock ,revs to the moon keeps pulling all the way to redline,,
Awesome video Adam, but I’d take a 250-300 2t all day long. I started on 4t 250 and 450 but once I threw my leg over a yz250 I never looked back! The pivot turns, crawling, hill climb abilities, and over all running cost just had me hooked. Don’t get me wrong I love a 4t for riding fire trails or long rides but the 2t is where my heart belongs
Tbh I've been a 4stroke rider my whole life. I done a hard enduro on a 250 TPI KTM a few years back and it was effortless to ride it well. My time round the track was probably faster and because it's soo light I wasn't even tired even after 6 hours of riding. However, I would say it was a slightly boring bike in some ways, they have made them soo well these days it takes a bit of the grit and fun out of the riding. I think an average rider can ride these new 2strokes like advanced riders due to the way they handle trails / hill climbs and don't stall out etc. Therefore I think if you start on an older 4 stroke for a few years then switch to a 2 stroke you'll be a weapon around the track. I think when it comes to long enduro rides tho the RMX 450R is an absolute beast of a bike. Got to hold on for dear life on those things.
Thanks for making all the video's that you've made. I have been watching them for years and wanted you to know you are appreciated in what you do. The talent of your riding and the art you make from the video's are really something to watch. This is actually the second time I have watch this video (of many video's) and you asked what we would like to see next. I figured I would take you up on that. I have been back and forth for a couple of years on both of these on which one to get. Why I am still undecided is because I don't know how they act/handle with single track and slower riding. I'm not a motocross rider and sure hell not as fast of a rider as you and your buddies. Would you be willing to try them both out on a tighter single track and give your honest review (overheating issues or just not designed for it)? If you could, you would really be helping me out. If not, no worries and keep doing what you're doing! Thanks again
Just swapped my 69 reg tenere for a 67 reg 250f, bloody great all rounder, great video adam, ps loved the war horse stuff, ill upload a video once im out on the 250f mate. Cheers again
Good vids mate, I would like to see 250f v 300st in you're test (moto x track would be cool) Would love to see a race start, I kicked 300 husky ass on my 250f , I was surprised amout of poke it had
You are a dope guy lol you got yourself a new sub! Keep up the fire videos my man! You are inspiration to people like me trying to grow their moto channel!
Awesome video once again. Be great to get your thoughts and pros n cons of two strokes vs four strokes for Boost Town and single track riding for the average trail / enduro rider. Graham Jarvis and all the European enduro riders (eg Romaniacs) all seem to ride 300 two strokes. A lot of my riding mates are switching to 300s.
Dear Mr. AR, My name is Candy. I want to thank you for your reviews of the Yam WR450f. I’m hoping to purchase a Providence-sent ‘22, within the next month. I’m a big-boned gal, that’s a few years past the US speed limit, but I’ve been in love with motorcycles every since I rode some kids Benelli 60 when I was 8 or 9 years old. I am a Yamaha fan-girl, so I’m trading in my 2014 Fz 09 for the WR. As a Delinquent Senior Citizen, I need to downsize the weight, but I’d be less of a Woman, if I sacrificed the delicious torque of the 1st gen Fz’s. The dealership I’m working with is gonna make my WR street legal for me & throw on the ECU goodies & take off that limiter crap. I was encouraged by your final comments about that big-ass wall in this video…rarely do I hear a 2-wheeled Superman such as yourself, talk about confidence building. But frankly, whether I’m able to improve my dirt skills to be able to enter some Hare Scramble or Old-Lady class enduro race, or just be able to tear-ass through the woods on some single track…and coming out alive is my level of confidence building. Thanks for the info & inspiration!!! 🇺🇸DaWidowB😎🏴☠️
could you or would you run a yz250x around boost town and compare to the 450 and 250? , I have a 03 wr450 and a 20 yz250x, I find the agility of the 250 much better, but you've gotten me interested in upgrading the 450 to a current model.... thats for your time!
Awesome video Adam.... Do like "top-gear" does.... That LOTS of different bikes around that same course👍👍. Please do the same track with the KTM 350 EXC F (UNcorked🙂👍)
Can we get a few more episodes of the dirt kitchen maybe even just with WA riders with current lockdown situation. Also wr250f vs wr450f around a motocross track would be an interesting comparison

Good review. Do like the wrs and or 4 bangers for most riding except the super technical, just cant beat a 2 smoke when you have decided to pull the trigger on a stupid or impossible obstacle. Not hearing about a hesitation on the CR in front of that log wall, probably thought it, pulled the trigger anyway.
great info and really like your honest opinion on these bikes.. more plz.. also are the bikes bone stock ? keep up the great work and more videos like this plz sir...
Hi Adam, could you consider doing a video with the main settings a pro hard enduro would do their 2 stroke 250/300 cc bikes. Any tips you could pass on form your own experience that novices could benefit from. Another good subject to include would be the power valve spring .... When or why you would use Red, Yellow or Green springs. Be it for Hard Enduro or Endurocross - A lot of people seem to have a misconception that red will make you go faster?
Great stuff Adam. Any chance of a husky 701 review and maybe comparo with ..cough ..ktm 690.. Would be nice for you to share your thoughts on the. Fe501 vs exc500 ,Toby on the exc and sanders on the husky.👍 All the best.
I use a YZ450f 2012 for enduro. It crushes small & medium logs. Don't need to use the clutch, just a blip of the throttle and the front comes up so easily being less weight. But big logs I've yet to hit, I would imagine a 2stroke 300 would be easier to accomplish this over a 450.
I love my ktm 300 tpi for enduro but the KYB suspension on the yamaha's are great stuff.. the new wp cone is also very good, but kayaba has the suspension game in their pockets. A ktm with KYB Factory suspension is hard to beat.. ✌️
How is the 250 on long hill climbs. I see that it has 36 horsepower. That's the same as the husqvarna fe 350. So I'm guessing the wr 250 would do pretty well on a long hill climbs...penny for your thoughts..Haha! Also, I'm curious about the reverse engine design. Does that move to much weight back and make the front end not stick in flat no berm corners? Is that a draw back to that design. Does it make the front end to light? The seat seems short, front to back, is that a problem? I've heard the stock skid plate is fragile? Is the 450 noticeably heavier on switch back type trails or is it minimal? Steve from Ohio USA. THANKS!

I have found the more power, lower end grunt makes it easier to ride, which is why the 2 strokes are so dominant in this sport. I like the 450 a lot

Have to turn the idle speed up on the 450 to help with the stalling. As well as the obvious heavier flywheel mod.
