Thanks for the info on all the interlacing pieces. The ATC comms is exactly the sort of interaction I was after within a sim. Please keep all the vids coming, it is inspiring!

Thank you for watching, glad it helped. Just put up a new video of my first passengers. More to come!

I've been doing Microsoft Flight Simulator since 2005. It's the closest I'll ever get to flying a plane. It's given me the chance to learn things about aviation I would've never got to learn. However, if someone was to ask me if I could fly a real plane I would answer heck no! I know enough to know I don't know near enough. Happy flying and thanks for the videos.

Glad you like them. Sim flying is fun, and you can pause it, so that helps! Hope you subscribed, more videos on the way!

Best choice ever .. Over 1500 hours of DCS simulation, but it's mostly constant war and the same grinding. X plane 11 and 12 are absolutely the best flight simulations in the world.

what's up Sven . i finally got the nav log on my iPad thanks again. I got into flight simulator about 2 years recommended by my CFI just to understand some of the things I struggle with in training. To be honest this all i do now until i can get my finances on track to continue my training hopefully this summer for my PPL . It's amazing how you can connect ipad to live ATC network such as Vat sim and pilotedge and see traffic on foreflight and get alerts on traffic ,like real world flying. I recommend giving pilot edge a try it's a pad service but you will learn more especially during your instrument training. Many pilots go this route to save money during instrument training buy buying avionics like G1000 from flight simulators company like Real Simgear , Flight Builders. There are tons of youtube videos showing pilots using sim avionics for training as you probably know already. Nice content keep them coming and happy flying my friend . God Bless

@@theljungholmfamily no problem. Yes I find it very useful. I just started back with my PPL training. I will definitely use it on my cross country. Thanks again

Really should look at upgrading that yoke to the honeycomb Alpha. Costs about as much as a couple hours of flight time, and is a gaming changer for the sim. I had the Logitech for years, it’s a good yoke, but still just *feels* like a kids toy. Not so with the alpha.

Yes, I am afraid to go down that rabbit hole. Might end up with 1/2 a plane in my house.

@@theljungholmfamily I get that. I was afraid of the same thing. And I still might do that at some point. But really, as soon as I got the Alpha yoke and Bravo throttle, I really lost a lot of that itch to buy more and more tactile simulator addons. Would a radio sstack, a fake G1000, and a fake GNS530/430, and a six-pack be cool? Sure.... But really, your hands arent on them enough to relly make them worth the money unless you're building a proper simulator cockpit... Air manager on your Ipad works just fine for most of that. But a yoke and throttle that actually *feels* right? 100% worth every penny.

what adapter did you use to connect your aviation headset to the PC?

    • @theljungholmfamily

This was a pretty standard 1/2 to 1/4" plug. www.amazon.com/Stereo-Copper-Headphone-Adapter-6-35mm/dp/B07MLNR2YM/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=headphone+to+1+4+adapter&qid=1689691357&sr=8-3
